I came up with what I think would be the All-Time best line-up and pitching rotation...tell me what you think and what you would change.
LINEUP ROTATION
1. Ty Cobb 1. Christy Mathewson
2. Joe Jackson 2. Sandy Koufax
3. Babe Ruth 3. Walter Johnson
4. Josh Gibson 4. Lefty Grove
5. Hank Aaron 5. Bob Gibson
6. Lou Gehrig
7. Ted Williams
8. Willie Mays
9. Stan Musial

Solid list, although you have 5 outfielders listed. Wagner at ss for sure. Personally, i have Clemens the best modern day sp, with RJ close behind. Koufax and Gibson are great, but Koufax did retire early, and had a run lower era at home (Dodger Stadium). I also prefer Mantle and Bonds over Aaron/Mays. Bonds has to be in there, as only Ruth was better.

I was making a best possible line-up(disregarding position), if were to make an All-Time team that would also play the field I guess it would look like this:
1. Cobb LF
2. Wagner SS
3. Ruth RF
4. J. Gibson C
5. Aaron DH
6. Mays CF
7. F. Robinson 3B
8. Gehrig 1B
9. Lajoie 2B

Frank Robinson only played 13 games at 3b, so i'm guessing it's a typo for Brooks?

I see you like Aaron alot (dh). Imo, Ted and Bonds were much better hitters. You not like Bonds?

C Bench, Gibson there, but hard to say since he never played mlb.
1B Gehrig easy
2b Morgan
SS Wagner
3b Schmidt
LF Bonds, Ted close
CF Mantle Cobb a toss up, Mays 3rd imo
RF Ruth
DH Ted

I definetly agree with Schmidt at 3rd forgot about him....It's hard to leave out Aaron (3000 hits + most home runs and RBI's ever and career 300 hitter.) Some of that comes with longevity but the average is a testament to that. However with Bonds and Ted it's almost impossible to make everyone happy. Mantle could've been the best ever: with his speed..unfortunate leg injury in 1951 WS..good fielder....good arm.....great hitter in average and power but didn't take care of himself enough by drinking and injury which wasn't his fault. But Mantle was the ultimate team player with hustle and playing though injury. So even though he could have achieved more statwise he definetly needs to be mentioned for any team.
