Twins' outfielder Jason Kubel will undergo surgery next week to repair his injured left knee. Kubel sustained substantial ligament damage to his knee in an outfield collision during an Arizona Fall League game on Wednesday. Twins' general manager Terry Ryan told the Associated Press on Friday night that Kubel tore his anterior cruciate ligament but added, "It's more extensive than just the ACL." There's a chance Kubel could miss the entire 2005 season. "It's going to be a long haul," Ryan added.
