i can see the red sox beating the yankees in the al championship series, the yankee starting pitching is suspect and if the sox can get some quality starts they could beat the yanks in 6
in the nl the cards have faded a bit but they have had nothing to play for in a while, i see them advancing to the world series and taking the big prize when all is said and done

I think its going to be hard in a couple of the games. Anahiem will give the Sox a tough game and the Astro's v Braves game is the hardest one to call out of the lot...

well my first prediction was that the braves were going to come in last place in the NL east, that was before injuries. now after seeing what they can do with a junk team it's hard for me to bet against them.
twins take out the yanks in 3,
sox over angels in 4.
Cards over dodgers in 5,
Braves over Astros in 4.

Sox over Twins
Braves over Cards

Sox win the series in 6.

I remember that a couple of years ago, so they must be. I think the announcers even mentioned it back then.

I pick:
Twins over Yankees
Sox over Angels
Cardinals over Dodgers
Braves over Astros

Seems I'm the only one in the world that think my Braves will come through. They went down 9-3, but it's a best of 5, not a best of 1.

the yankees are going to start kevin brown in game 3....makes tonights game all that more important for them to win

Brown to start Game 3 for Yankees

October 6, 2004

NEW YORK (AP) -- Kevin Brown was picked over Orlando Hernandez to start for the New York Yankees in Friday's Game 3 of their first-round AL playoff series against Minnesota.

Brown has started just twice since Sept. 3, the night he broke his non-pitching hand while punching a clubhouse wall during a 3-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

Hernandez, coming off shoulder surgery in May 2003, has been bothered by what he calls a ``dead arm.''

Brown, a 39-year-old right-hander, was 10-6 with a 4.09 ERA for the Yankees, and was on the disabled list from June 10 to July 29 because of a back injury.

Carlos Silva, 14-8 with a 4.21 ERA, will start at home Friday for the Twins, who won Tuesday's opener 2-0 behind Johan Santana

Cardinals smoked us 8 to 3.

They own us. 5 and 0 against us at St. Louis. And now 2 to 0 in this series.

Jason Marquis didn't have location all night tonight and we just didn't take advantage of it. Not enough of an advantage anyways.

I still think we have a little chance though, unlike the Angels who have to go back to Boston. At least Game 3 is back at our place.

It'll have to be Lima Time! :party-smiley-018:
