The White Sox announced Friday that designated hitter Frank Thomas will be sidelined eight weeks with a stress fracture in his left foot. Thomas was
placed on the disabled list last Saturday because of the persistent swelling in his left ankle, and an MRI taken this week revealed the fracture.
