Baseball: Cubs on downslide or just a slump?

I think it's amazing that they are still 7 games over .500 with all the guys they have had on the DL so I'm not like alot of Cubs fans that are freaking out... I have seen this team bounce back before. Last year at one point they where over 5 games out in late July and at one point 55-53 (or close to that) so if there are any Cubs fans out there, don't get overlyl paranoid yet. Concern is another matter though

Downslide and slump are two words that mean the same thing

Ok, I guess when you get to be 40 years old you might tend to have a few less brain cells left than an 11th grader You do know what I meant though....

Downslide as in really not gonna stop till ya hit bottom vs. slump which will not last as long. THat better?

They always do come back

i think the cubs will be back just as soon as their pitchers get healthy, they will have a hard time catching the cardinals however....the marinerson the other hand...now they are in a SLUMP!!!!

Poor Mariners are in the middle of a landslide... It's amazing how old a team can look after one off season.
