Official NFL thread - 2003

Well since there isnt a sports forum and I am a huge football fan I will make a topic we can discuss football in. I am talking NFL.
Anyways I am a huge Packers fan and hoping we kick some Kitty Arse on Thanksgiving Day.

So whos your team?

Cowboys since day one. the cowboys are doing awesome this year. well i wouldnt say awesome. their defence is letting them squeak out games. but could the winnings be because of the big tuna alone? yea i think they are. he came in with a fresh attitude adn turned the team around. go cowboys we play (notice i put we as if i was part of the team) play miami this thanksgiving and we will win. (if not i will edit this post )

I think alot of it is due to the Tuna, but the play of Carter has been one of the main reasons I think. A decent offense with a stellar defense has been enough to win the SB. Ravens did it. I am really kind of hoping for a Packer vs Dallas playoff game so we can get some payback from earlier playoff loses in Big D. Granted we even get in.

i think green bay has a great chance to get in. i have always been a big bret farve fan and i dont mind the packers that much. unless another cowboys fan asks then i hate the packers with a passion. also about the defense thing winning superbowls, tampa did it just last year.

Tampa doesnt count, I will never admit to them winning a SB. Along with the Bears, Vikings and Lions. Can you tell I hate NFC north teams and the once central opponent Bucs.

I live in San Antonio TX, but I root for the dolphins (Ricky Williams from UT). I'd like to see how well the Cowboys can do against Miami.

Raiders are practically out. So I'm not watching football that much this season...

STEELERS, since I was 6 years old and my dad was watching a game, I said who's that daddy, he said those darn steelers are winning again, they were playing cleveland ( I think ) and I said I like the black hat guys, that's what uniform I want to wear.. and it all started there...

hey, but we still have a shot at the playoffs.. if the Bengals would slow down.. geez !!!

I am a long time Chiefs fan

I haven't had much to cheer about in the last few years. Looks like my patience is paying off this year. I just wish they would win by more points, the stress is going to put me in the hospital.

And to think I used to like KC fans.
I know the losing the SB to us hurts, but ah well.
I really think the Chiefs are overrated this year. They really don't impress me all that much. That being said, with parity in the NFL I guess you dont have to stand far apart of the crowd to be considered good.

I think the Titans represent the AFC in the SB though.

By the way here are my Turkey day predictions.,..

The Skins' on paper look pretty good. They have thee best LB corp in the league in my opinion. I think that Spurrier is lost in the NFL and that is why they cannot get anywere. Letting Stephan Davis go was absurd. I dont know if that was Snyder or Spurriers move but either way it sucked.
