Single Parents and Relationships

Was wondering if any other single parents have a rough time dating?

Myself personally, I am very protective of my daughter(who is 4) and will not even introduce her to girls I meet until I believe they will actually be in her life. I dont want people in and out of my daughters life at all. But it seems that alot of girls are very against dating single guys with kids. I can understand it a bit, but there just seems to be so many girls that are afraid to date a guy with a kid, I hear that excuse over and over again.

I get a girl that likes me but she gets scared off by the fact that I have a kid. I am 25 now and in college and that makes it even tougher IMO because the people in college want to work on their own lives and not have to worry about a bf and then have the bf take time away from the gf because of the kid.

It would be nice to find a girl that has a open mind for once, it's not like she has to be the mother of my daughter, she has a mother. If these girls actually dated me I would expect them to be my daughters friend and nothing more. Ah well....

Sorry for the rant, it just bothers me. Anywho, I will purge forward. Makes me wanna do this _:bnghd:

I work with a 27 year old single male parent...he has two wonderful daughters...and he too has ranted on about the same thing. His ex-wife has been through two men since their divorce..and is still on the prowl to ruin another one. Hard to say anything without being sexist...but...women don't want a man with children...on the other hand...a man will want a woman...no matter how many children they have...hrmm...let's say...it's a bit unfair...but true.

You know what else is kind of crappy....
Ok I see my daughter almost every day so that makes it hard for girls to want to be with me, BUT if a guy doesnt take care of his kid and never see's his kid then its ok and the women usually do not have a problem dating the guy.....Total BS. Makes no sense to me. :bash::bash:
