I am thankful, VERY.
However, I have many friends, including my wife, who struggle with this question very seriously. It IS a paradox of sorts that I believe has an answer, I am just curious if anyone else has given it enough thought to arrive at the same conclusion I have.

So how do you recognise a Dangerous Religious Group (or DRG)?
The following things usually give them away:

Controlling and authoritarian leadership frequently the leader is seen as a messiah type figure whose word is not to be questioned, and frequently the leadership will expect or demand to be consulted about individual members lifestyle choices eg. changing a job or getting married. The leader will not be responsible to anyone outside the group (Elders, bishops and rabbis in mainstream groups are all responsible to someone above them, outside the immediate group).

Questioning or disagreeing with the teachings of the group is seen as threatening, disloyal or even as a moral assault.

The group has an elitist view of life, and sees others outside the group as wrong, deficient, or unredeemed.

The group creates a very strong "us and them" mentality in relation to the outside world, and the group isolates itself in various ways from the outside world, perceiving it as an enemy. Frequently this results in group members being isolated deliberately even from their own family. The group sees itself as more important than any of the individual members, and very strong peer pressure is asserted to make sure that the members obey the rules.

If they say they believe the Bible or another holy book, then frequently you will find that they base most of their teachings on just one small portion of that book, or a very slanted view (usually the leader's view) of the book.

It seems to me that christianity itself fits at least 4 of those no? By the way, the website above is a pro christian group so it doesn't support my theory...I'm just posting the information here for you to see some of the signs...

But also, he will be just and judge the peoples. Like bowls of clay they will be destroyed. With a staff of iron, they will be crushed.

But God loves them who trembles for his Name. And keep his commandments in their hearts, and teach them to others so they may live. They will be called great in the Kingdom, they will receive their crowns and new names they will receive. Their eyes will see Salvation, their ears will learn the Song of Moses. With tears of Joy in their eyes they gather round the Lamb and lift their heads and spirits toward Heaven, to God, and they cry Abba! And the Spirit will answer: Come! They will all answer: Come, for we will meet you with branches of palm and olive! They will all be transformed and be like the angels. God himself will teach them and angels give them food. That day a young lionesse will rest below a tree while lambs will play before her. She opens her eyes and breathes as if she says: Finally I have peace, I don't want to kill them. My God has saved me. Finally I may eat grass like oxen, leaves from the top of the trees like the giraffe. I may lift my head up high now. Salvation. And she will close her eyes and rest. Well naturally it's a dangerous cult. They who kill them will be destroyed. Them who misdirect them will drown in tears and shame. Those who give them a snake when they need bread will run in circles in the end, trying to bite their tail. I'll tell you about the most dangerous cult in the world: It's called world politics and will of men. It is a road that leads directly to destruction and a war that hasn't seen it's like ever! A woe that echoed back to the formation of this world. Plagues and destruction you don't want to suffer when they're here, but that you laugh at now. But still you will curse him who has the power to punnish the world this way. And you will curse the ones who warned you. Unless there is still some light left in you. Listen rather to what we say. Is it the rule for christians to make an arguement or a statement that makes absolutely no sense? Is that so we can't make an adequate rebuttal? And by the statement "We will swallow our tears when they lead us away, while people like yourself will stand aside like they did in Berlin in the thirties, for we will not sell our children to the flames." are you comparing me to a nazi or a nazi sympathizer? That's disgusting and rather disturbing. Furthering my example of a cult and the "us or them" mentality.

It's tiring to read posts like this because your response doesn't make sense. You aren't presenting an arguement for your cause. You're presenting riddles and double talk. If you have a point to make than make it in English not mad libs.

All I do is to give you a chance to understand when it happens. You have a choice between following your politicans and generals, or a choice to take up your cross and go where you don't want to go. It's as simple as that. Back then the Jews were the ones who were blamed. This time it will be their brothers in Spirit. But the mob will be the same: mindless and heartless, proud and slanderous. They will go: "now let Jesus save you! Now let him step down from the cross and save you!". It's just a little bit of history repeating.... Cry with the wolves or walk with the lambs. It's really that simple. I fear it will be like in Rome under C�sar Nero.

Did you even read my post? Read it again and see how you just fulfilled a couple of the things I told you. If you don't understand riddles, you don't understand the bible either. So stop judging what you don't understand. My points are very clear. If you find double talk and riddles, maybe I'm trying to tell you something that require your will to understand? Although I did enjoy your post and found it interesting, I still don't feel that it addressed the question posed. If Jesus is the ONLY true path to GOD, what happens to all those who have not heard of Jesus? Or were you saying that by doing the WILL of Jesus and his teachings is good enough? Please clarify.

Well Jesus is the Way. The children of the world call him the Milky Way. He has many stages and many forms. Have you gone over the figures of that cube? That's one big city I tell you! If you scaled the Earth down to the size of a marble, the Earth would be way smoother than the marble. If you scale it up to the size of let's say an orange. The NJ would be about as big as four sugarcubes on it's side. You wouldn't even notice Mt. Everest beside it. Even lesser would the Giza pyramids be. "Who are you oh mighty mountain? Before Serubabel you will be a plain".
