What is a hypersoar? Does anyone know? This is probebly a dumb question but I want to know if it's real.

A HyperSoar hypersonic Global Range Recce/Strike Aircraft the size of a B-52 could take off from the US and deliver its payload to any point on the globe - from an altitude and at a speed that would challenge current defensive measures - and return to the US without the need for refueling or forward bases on foreign soil. Equipment and personnel could also be transported.

S-300/400 and its variants can handle this

i dont know the exact speed of sound, but its around 700mph, give or take. 700*19=13300
so mach 19 would be (very very rouch estimate) around half the speed that the space shuttle orbits at.

Regarding an S-300/400 surface to air missile bringing down an operational Hypersoar....

The S-300 made by NPO Almaz / MKB Fakel (Russian) has a max speed of 4700 miles per hour and an operating ceiling of approximately 95,000 feet. The Hypersoar on the other hand theoretically would have a speed of approximately 6500 miles per hour and an operating height of 130,000 feet.

The only way the S-300 would bring down an operating Hypersoar would be to catch it ascending or descending to or from it's operating height and speed.

I know this thread is 19 years old, but the HyperSoar concept was acquired by DARPA, which merged the HyperSoar concept with the X-41 Common Aero Vehicle (CAV) concept for a hypersonic glide vehicle to create the FALCON (Force Application and Launch from Continental United States), which produced the HTV-2 technology demonstrator for a hypersonic glide weapon and spawned the proposed but unbuilt HTV-3X Blackswift unmanned hypersonic aircraft.
