Need For Speed : Underground

Just wanted to let you know that this game rocks.
I wasn't really a fan of the previous releases, but this one is different, gives you a lot more liberty and lot more options.

The graphics are top notch, and the impression of speed is really realistic. Every details seems to have been reviewed.

Plus, they added the 'tuning' touch, a-la Fast & Furious.
Any racing game lovers should check it out, and Alien, I know you like tuned cars, but I don't know if you like video games, but anyway, you should check it out too.
...and there's a skyline in the game... !

I give it 9 outta 10. I've been seriously impressed.

Just bought this one a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say that it's gotta be the best race game I've ever played - and I've played a few! (PS2)

It's absolutely outstanding, the playability and impression of speed are first class, with of course the really huge degree of customisation available for your modded motor (my maxed-out Skyline is lookin sweeeet)



I'm just itching to get the broadband adapter for my PS2 now so I can race online - can't wait!

The game is awesome, isn't it?

I'm having trouble with the skyline tho. It's fast as a bullet, but I keep crashing my self. It's though as hell to control.

So far, my favorites are the Acura Integra Type R, RSX and the Mitsubishi Eclipse. They might offer less speed, but they offer much more stability and control.

i Rarely crash, BUT I BLOW MY ****ING ENGINE every blooming time
the max speed i've ever reached is 370km/h, but i came last...u guessed it, drag, the longest straight.

however, i think you guys should also check out midnight-club 2, now THAT is cool...the nitro's a lot more realistic, however..both games come out neck-to-neck.
however, i hate the way MC2 didn't buy the licensed car names, therefore..you get made up car names in there

my second fav. HAS to be the Supra, Gear changing's a lot easier with it, and the handling's well suited with the colossal HP under the hood.

Got the pc version of NFSU and it totally rocks!Just got the Logitech Momo Racing Wheel yesterday.A must for the drift sessions.MC2 is sweet too.

Yeah, MC2 is really cool too!

What I really like about it is, you can play online no mather WHAT version you have...*hint* *hint*

I wished I would have bought a Logitech wheel. I bought a Act-Labs wheel (the whole racing kit actualy), it's cool, but really not worth the crazy price IMO.
Hell...I even rarely use it...Guess I'm too used to the good-ole-keyboard. Haaaa...I love you keyboard

Hell.. I had forgot about the supra. I agree, it's also one of the best car in there.

Didn't get to finish MC2 cuz' it was a loaner from a buddy.Definately a good buy.

the drifts were a pain, i played the entire game at hard level, so u can imageine how much time it took to get it "juuuust right" on the drift tracks, with a keyboard

my favz? still the drags, cant get enough of them.

can u play online? every time i try i get some warning that i need to download a patch, lalalala...the game closes, i'm then directed to the website, and download the patch..hey presto!! the game still don't work online:shk:

also..how the hell do i "merge" the car's colors??

Didn't finished neither MC2 or NFS:U. Haven't played MC that much. On NFS, I did like 80 of the 111 tracks, in underground mode.

My favorites tracks are the drag and the drift. I played on normal, and it's already hell-a-tought.

Can't imagine what 'hard' would look like.

Yeah, ATS Racing Team sounds good!

Haven't try to play NFS:U online, but my version would probably forbid me to do so...

I don't know how to merge color.
Why haven't you painted your vinyl decals red, or something?

I like Underground.. But I don't know if i'll ever play it again. I forget what race I was on, but I KEPT hitting the edge of a wall, which would completely stop me, costing me the race, and it happened so many times I just got pissed and threw the controller down, turned it off, and erased the game from my memory before I broke the damn thing.

Amateur! I just completed it on normal and have just restarted on the hard level - I just can't get enough of this game right now.

I tried just for fun, and on any track, I couldn't make it below 23-24 seconds...

i really enjoyed the game and it is one of the very few games i have completed- so i was rellly pround of myself- and of course my car was pink.

I thought the fact that your car has to look good for reputation and style is a really good thing to put in the game- could i say alomst girly...
