I find it strange indeed that five bombs go off in turkey. Most Injured will be muslim.

In the country that went against Bush and wouldn't let him land his planes there.

Al queda, I think not. There are many better targets in other countries.

The public will be caught up in the media scare program now and when Bush wants to use their bases next time guess who will open their doors?

Turkey will now be controlled by fear!

Well, firstly Turkey is not just a Muslim country. It has a broad ethnic makeup and therefore it is easier for terrorists to hide amongst the population.
Secondly, the targets were British interests and your statement that there are softer targets is pretty misleading.
Thirdly, so what if the US couldn't land planes there? You totally forget that Turkey recently volunteeered to send thousands of troops to Iraq.
Fourthly, now the US is in Iraq, it has all the bases it needs.

Leveller,

Turkey is very much a Muslim Majority.

Maybe the PR mechine is telling you that the targets were British, well the consulate, HSBC is asian eg HONG KONG SHANG HI banking corp. Stock has duel listing, HK and London, and only listed in London after it took over Midland Bank. HSBC has a very long history of being from H.K.

The other three bomb targets not even mentioned, therefore the PR mechine not using them because they are not British.

The fact is all the targets will employ locals and the vast majority are Muslims and the odds staked in favour that they will be the victims.

Where did I say they are soft targets? Cant find that reference.

In case you forgot the Americans were desparate to use Turkish bases and even offered $30billion. Turkish have their own issues and you correctly say they offered their own troops but they were not prepared to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Americans at any price. The turkish wanted to be involved in the land grab for oil and no other reason.

Now, after the Iraq invasion, the US dont need the Turkish bases, but the Turkish will suffer for their lack of support to the Americans.

I feel they the statements of Al Quadea involvement, so quickly after the bombs without any investigation are so similar to 9/11...It smells.
