Well now come on! I'm glad for the happy ending, but seriously. This whole "bypassing encryption" business is ridiculous.
When I was half way through the article I was thinking about universal TV remotes.. same damn thing, and found it funny to see it mentioned at the end..
They need to define these guidelines more clearly. Its protecting against bypassing encryption to copy copyrighted software, not bypassing encryption to access electronical devices.
