In new york state 911 is used to call the police.

i came across someones comment: "i live in australia and the police number is 000 not 911"

wouldn't it be logical for a country like america to make the number for the police 000. Instead they use 911? they attack on 911 to show that they are the police, the rulers.

Why 911?

The reason 911 was picked was also simple. At the time (and this you can check) in the Washington area there was 211 for time and weather (long since dead now) and 411 for information (which still exists). So he naturally borrowed the 9 from the British 999 system and simply added the 11 to match the other already existing and simple to remember numbers.

My name has 11 letters, too.

if it was planned like the fact's represent to us. then it isnt hard to guess that this operation was designed to begin at 9:11am on 9/11/01.
