New WMD?

We all heard the story about the Russian spy who got poisoned, it seems the radiation spreads easily and another guy has it. This is what the article says

The FBI said it had been asked to join the British investigation and that its experts in weapons of mass destruction will assist with some of the scientific analysis.

Thats what we call self aftertising a WMD, or are they just saying that to make heads turn the other way while we leave Iraq quietly through the backdoor?
