the US knew in advance about the September 11 attack on New York but, for strategic reasons, chose not to act on the warnings.
that planning began "within weeks" of Bush's first taking office in 2001, long before the September 11th attack on the US.
He was thinking about invading Iraq in 1999
‘If I have a chance to invade….if I had that much capital, I’m not going to waste it. I’m going to get everything passed that I want to get passed and I’m going to have a successful presidency.”
that President Bush was planning to invade Iraq before the September 11th attacks and was considering two very different plans about what to do with Iraq's oil.
The NSA's vast data-mining activities began shortly after Bush was sworn in as president and the document contradicts his assertion that the 9/11 attacks prompted him to take the unprecedented step of signing a secret executive order authorizing the NSA to monitor a select number of American citizens thought to have ties to terrorist groups.
"CBS reporter David Martin revealed that weeks before the attacks, the CIA had warned Bush personally of Osama Bin Laden’s intent to use hijacked planes as missiles. That followed the damaging exposure by The Associated Press’s John Solomon of a pre-9/11 FBI memo from an officer in Phoenix warning of suspicious Middle Eastern men training at flight schools—a warning that went unheeded."
June-Aug 2001:
-German intelligence warns the CIA that Middle Eastern terrorists are training for hijackings and targeting American interests.
-Russian President Vladimir Putin alerts the US of suicide pilots training for attacks on US targets.
-In late July, a Taliban emissary warns the US that bin Laden is planning a huge attack on American soil.
-In August, Israel warns of an imminent Al Qaeda attack
Aug 6, 2001: President Bush receives an intelligence briefing warning that bin Laden might be planning to hijack commercial airliners. Titled “Bin Laden Determined To Strike in US,” the briefing specifically mentions the WTC. Yet Bush later claims it “said nothing about an attack on America.”
Aug 27, 2001: An FBI supervisor says he’s trying to keep a hijacker from “flying a plane into the WTC.” Headquarters chastises him for notifying the CIA.
Sep 10, 2001: A number of top Pentagon brass suddenly cancel travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of security concerns. Why isn't this news spread widely?
McKinney asked "What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11th? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? . . . What do they have to hide?"
"The American people know the facts, and they dismiss such ludicrous, baseless views"
"The fact that she questions the president's legitimacy shows a partisan mind-set beyond all reason"
"She Seems to have tapped into a web of conspiracy theories"
"paranoid, America-hating, crypto-Marxist conspiratorial delusions"
Barely one month after McKinney was so condemned, the headline of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution read: "Bush warned by
U.S. intelligence before 9/11 of possible bin Laden plot to hijack planes." The Washington Post front page announced: "Bush Was Told of Hijacking Dangers." The Fox News Channel was repeating the big story of the day: "Bush Was Warned of Hijack Plot."
More generally, in the lead-up to the war in Iraq, the administration encouraged the false impression that Saddam had a role in 9/11. Bush never stated then, as he does now, that Iraq had “nothing” to do with 9/11. Only after the Iraq war began did Bush candidly acknowledge that Iraq was not operationally linked to 9/11.

Wow, you ARE agitated.
Is this retro-active?
Or only for the current administration?
The US has not been "loved" for quite a while now..How far back do we go to prosecute
those who are only looking out for their own "interests".

"The White House has repeatedly denied accusations made by several top foreign officials that it manipulated intelligence
estimates to justify an invasion of Iraq."
