Why 5? .. may I ask ... does anyone understand the number 5 here?

I am fairly sure that it is a number between 4 and 6.

just a little humor, sorry for the sarcasm, but i thought it would be funny.

1. Me... (everyones list should read the same for number 1)

I don't think I need resurrecting just yet, unless there is something your not telling me.

maybe some are trying to tell some, but maybe some are not listening.

Not quite sure what you're trying to say here, but I do get the distinct impression that it is a veiled reference to myself needing resurrection, i.e. to become born again.
If that is the case then it's a fairly big assumption (possibly based on my list) that I am not a Christian. And in response to that all I can say is 'there but for the grace of God go I'.

Cheers

I already gave my top 5. Here's the next five

6 - Abraham Lincoln
7- Luke SkyWalker
8- Darth Vader (pre-badness)
9 - Superman (fightes for truth, justice and the American way... )
10 - Wonder Woman (also lives in America and wears the red, white, and blue)

Many of you chose Jesus on your lists and if you ask me He would be it. You really wouldn't need the rest.

I also think many are only considering themselves and not the world as a whole. I mean come on, how would the world be better if James Dean were around or Kurt Cobain to name a couple?

I'm not trying to insult anyone, I just don't understand how these people are going to ,ake the world better. I can see Gandhi or Reagan and some of the other people with global impact but some of the others are just personal.

From the picks I have seen so far my 3 favorites are

1. Jesus -obvious
2. Ronald Reagan - To slap some sense into todays Republicans. It's a sad day when McCain and Guilliani are the 2 frontrunners.
3. Martin Luther King - I'd like for him to see how far his movement has come. He would be extremely pleased! It would also be a joy for him to slap some sense into Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. MLK most assuradly would become a Republican shortly after his return.

My most hated picks are

1. Any musicians i.e. Tupac, John Lennon, Bob Marley, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix.

These aren't necessarily my top five; just five people the world could use right now, but haven't been named yet.

Newton
Aristotle
Margaret Sanger
Benjamin Franklin
Bruce Lee - not because of his movies, but for his unfinished work, Jeet Kune Do. He was more than just an entertainer. He was also quite the philosopher, and Jeet Kune Do encompassed not just martial arts philosophy, but also sprinkled much of his own philosophy on life within it. Many of his movies often had a Jeet Kune Do theme to them.

That's in no particular order.

1) Einstein - we need someone to back up the scientific community from the attacks by religion

2) Gandhi - very obvious for that one

3) FDR - greatest leader in America's history, he united the divided

4) Carl Sagan - to give Einstein and Dawkins backup

5) Karl Marx - well, we saw how communism turned out as impracitical, he can make the necassary tweeks or come up with a new system

Sorry but someone that comes up with a system that killed over 100 million people doesn't deserve a 2nd chance.

Einstein came up with a concept that led to the deaths of thousands, is he guilty for the way that corrupt people used his ideas?

Marx didn't kill anyone.

Einstein same concept has saved thousands also.

Sure Marx didn't kill anyone, but neither did Charlie Manson.
