The first time I checked my Iq, it was 130.
I decided to take another shot at it and got 148, but on another website.

My highest IQ score I took was a 144, the score came from the mensa iq book. My lowest was a 112 and I took that one in school (I forget what its called).

How accurate is the mensa iq book, i would like to think of it as a 144
.

The timed Mensa-sponsored tests are the most accurate.

I was only officialy tested once when I was either 7 or 8 years old and my IQ was I think 148. Joined advanced classes in school, but right now I have no clue what it is. Hell I don't know if an IQ number can change, so still might be 148.

In high school I think i had like 150 on my records. I have taken a few online with scores from the 130s to 150s with one low like 115, but i think that was because it was timed and i got distacted and didnt finish it until a couple hours after i started. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses though. For me I got a weakness in english/writing/communication area but I am really strong in math and science reasoning.
Motivation and hard work are much more important for success than an IQ score.

What ACT score do you have to get to qualify for Mensa? As I recall mine was fairly good.

Years ago I had 139 and a bout two years ago 147. I also had the highest score on my island in elementary school. That was (two tests) on a scale of 1 to 100 and I scored 99 & 97, if I could recall good.

But IQ tests are not a good measurement of intelligence.

I'm 165, MENSA certified but i didnt opt for membership, just the pretty certificate

I dont believe in IQ tests though, its far too narrow a band to judge someones intelligence.

Still, its a number i get to parade around

Ive heard stories about people with ridiculously high IQs and how some just cant make it in society. Sometimes these people are called autistic just because they are in a different dimension and have trouble communicating and dealing with a normal person. I found one weak link tha has a short summary of problems someone with a high IQ can have. www.cs.ucf.edu...

I have an IQ too, and I have posted on previous IQ threads.

Here's a random assortment of relevant and irrelevant data:

* I always thought Nerdling was smarter than David. I was right.
* There are more exclusive societies than MENSA. Some of them are comical. Go find them for a chuckle!!!!!
* High measured intelligence doesn't ALWAYS correlate with social difficulties, but it does often enough that you wouldn't want to be off the scale. Generally the prodigy or true genius has come from humble beginnings and sees some value in affinity with others and sees much of what goes on in the world as wrong, and makes the adjustments he needs to. Some "make it", some don't.
* I am happy with my IQ, and the length of my appendages, and my looks, and my social skills, and my athletic prowess, and my life achievements to date, and my accumulated wealth, none of which I talk about here much. Oh, I also have more ATS points than anyone.
* Tall Poppy Syndrome is an interesting social phenomenon.
* Go to it!

Isn't ATS grand?

Next: penis extension programs.

Or: ATS Chess

Or: What needs to be done to counter racial and religious hatred, and terrorism? (the "Bush way" is a failure).

well the online one's are in the 130's but I rush and do them in half the time they allow. When I was 5 back in 73 there was some guy that came around giving the IQ test's and after the test he wanted to take me away to a special school. My mother declined and wouldn't allow it. To this day I still wonder where I might be if I would have got to go. The hardest thing with having a high IQ is being able to talk to your friend's and family. Thing's that come simple to you most ppl have a hard time understanding and it really get's you aggravated trying to explain them to where they will understand.

Forgot to mention that the worst part is not being able to sleep. I run off about 5 hour's of sleep or less sometime's. I have to watch tv or something till I fall asleep because I am usually thinking about ten theng's at once.

I don't believe in IQ tests, IQ and EQ are the same, people just have split them apart, while they flow directly from eachother.

I think these kind of topics are not so good at all... they give you a stamp on your head with your IQ and give therefore also other people on this forum kinda a stamp on their head....

IQ tests give you the idea you are more intelligent then others... that's not very good if you want to discuss about something... because the other has got the inferior stamp on his head... while he could be just as right as the other one...

I just want to say... don't think to highly of IQ. Certainly not when you want to debate and really want to get knowledge... because IQ tests don't help by getting good information... they just seal the door for the information which others have...

I don't think it's within our capability to accurately guage intelligence on a numbered scale. The capacity of an organ as complex as the human brain cannot be measured by any test. Differences in intelligence can be obvious, of course, when dealing with a genius or a mind numbingly stupid person, but there are different kinds of intelligence; people all have their own unique strengths and weaknesses and you cannot put a single number on all these various aspects of mental capacity.

Anyway, I've only ever taken 2 online tests, on which I scored 136 and 142.

I don't think I've ever been able to get an accurate reading on any IQ test. about 10 questions in, I get bored and start coming up with the strangest answers I can muster. I do have a huge e-penis, though

I was just wondering this as it should be in Chit-Chat.

Sorry to be a wet noodle but I don't like sifting through irrelavent RATS posts

Maybe people who haven't bought into the RATS Forum don't have IQs.

Oh hang on they must, there were IQ threads before there were RATS Forums!

I raised a question for people with IQs in my last post on this. Would it be an interesting RATS Topic?

Recently IQ has come under a lot of attack and I can see why.

It is not an indication of intelligence but an indication of memory or game playing abilities. At least it indicates a grounding in obscure and often useless knowledge.

When I want to be really impressed I just ask for those people that consider themselves 'wise.'

I got 212. It was actually beyond the scale, so I had to create the scale based on the current scale, so it was 212. There was like 80 questions and I got about 3/4 right.

With all these geniuses around here we should have all this conspiracy stuff figured out by the end of the weekend.

LOL!
