In defense of the OP, I did the same thing when I found out the Village People were gay. Then again when I found out that Freddy Mercury was gay.

Then I got rid of my Eminem album when I found out he was white.

Then I got rid of my MC Paul Barman album when I learned he was Jewish.

You threw away his records because he said something that is fundamentally true? The major Abrahamic religions, which are also the dominant religions throughout the globe, propegate homosexuality as evil, an abomination and something which should be scorned.

Of course I don't think that Brax. Hate is Hate is Hate. It's never good.

I knew it the first time when EJ married a man and for those singers/artists that rasobasi mentioned.
Again, as I said I do not care for anybody's sexual preferences or whatever their religious and political opinions, because we all know that we are all entitled to them.
It's the notion of EJ to ban established spiritual institutions which helped humanity for what it is now, again as opposed to extremism.

I just don't want to be misconstrued for homosexual prejudices because I know, they're great artists and have feelings like everyone else. It's the imposition of ideas which is rocking the harmony of the civilized world and not sure when will these issues rest.

It's rock and roll dude. If it's not meant to fly in the face of convention, then it's not rock and roll.

Aside from that, if I disacknowledged everyone I disagreed with, I wouldn't be here talking with you.

And to further push the point, Elton's right. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism villify homosexuality. For all we know the world would be a much happier, more peaceful place without organized religion.

My idol, Mick Jagger had a number of gay relationships- was caught in bed many times with guys.

Who cares? Lets all agree we have to live and let live. Enjoy the artists for their music and expression and forget their beddie bye habits.

The only time i'd have a confrontation with Elton is if HE stole MY guy. Otherwise, who gives a damn , just keep that good music flowing.

I wonder how many gay members are there in ATS. They sure make a lot of good comments but always associated with humor. I'm not sure when can they be serious. Maybe that's why they call them gays... always happy! Don't they have problems in life and how do they solve them? Do they always get what they really intend to acquire?

I don't see how it would even be our business to know how many here are gay. I for one am not interested in knowing. That's their business not mine.

What if Elton was'nt gay and was still calling for an end to organized religion? Would you have still thrown out his records?

I hope you're not a Beatles fan too, cause did'nt one of them say once that they were "more popular than Jesus'? And it caused some sort of uproar?

What about when people burned KISS albums because some people thought KISS stood for KNIGHTS IN SATAN's ARMY? Gena Simmons being all for "KISSTIANITY"?

I had a Black Sabbath album taken from me by my parents when I was a kid because they thought Ozzy worshiped the devil.

I still want that album back. LOL.

Okay, prsbuff, you shouldn't think of gays as a seperate subspecies, with seperate habits. Gays make good/bad comments. Serious/humerous comments. the y have the same problems (for the most part) as yo do, and solve them the same way. They acquire what they can, and don't what they can't.

You make it sound like they're Hobbits or something. They are human beings. They think and act like human beings. They don't have horns, or wings, or any other distinguishing features (except for the tail). As a matter of fact, you probably know a few, and don't even know it.

Elaine as I said, it has nothing to do with him being gay. I would do the same thing even if he wasn't. It's the principle they developed overtime. Just because he is a great artist and a celebrity why can't he just confine his beliefs and practices to himself privately and leave the rest of us including our innocent youth getting poison with his opinion. I know it's all up to us if we give credence to that idea of banning religion.

Thanks rasobasi for comments. This is just a test on how many will react and defend the gays. Of course, they are human being and I agree to that. It's just they begin to be catalysts of culture. Meaning, they are opening a new wave of consciousness among masses. I'm not sure what it is. Anyone here could tell me?

And EJ opinion is one example of this consciousness.
