Leslie Dam, about 20mins drive S-W of Allora (where i recently took the cemetary pics) This place has been notorious for surposed hauntings...but everyone who has lived near one knows that there is a scary story for every dam wall out there, people buried inside the concrete ect..ect, plus the quite errie feeling you get being around it by yourself at night time. I wasnt expecting to get anything in these photos, and i didnt untill i went up to the top of the wall...this has been the death of choice for 5 people (that we know of) that was the only thing that brought me here. So here it is- Enjoy!

Is that smoke or ectoplasm?
I think it's smoke.

I thought that ecto was like slime? Either way it is like the kind of smoke you see near reported haunted sites. Good work for going out there and getting these shots.

It's possible it is just fog. From your post above your saying this was at a damn wall?

What's the weather like at this location?

If it gets cold at night where your from, fog would be the most logical answer IMO.

I though it might have been that to start off with but its just too warm here at this time of year for there to be fog.

As a smoker, it definitely looks like recently exhaled smoke, particularly since it is getting colder. Sorry, just my 2 cents.

How do you tell if smoke is getting colder? I can tell you its definantly NOT recently exhaled smoke i was by myself on this one again, and i dont smoke anymore.

I was implying breath in cold weather also produces "smoke." I hate calling people out that go to the effort to document paranormal activity (my favorite subject,) but to me it does look faked. That was my point, sorry mate.

At the same point I'm no expert on photography, so just disregard most things I say in regards to validating photographic evidence.

Yes looks exactly like something exhaled, was it a cold night?

Did you see this yourself or just when the picture came out? If not, why did you feel the need to take a picture of a fence, did you get a particularly weird feeling at this point?

ectoplasm is a thick slime....a runny thick liquid it does NOT float in the air.

This is NOT a pic of ectoplasm. not not not..........NOT ectoplasm. Period. Fini.

This is a pic of smoke or fog.........it really LOOKS like it is eminating from whoever is taking the picture......

The fence figure is only MORE of the same fog/smoke .......it looks the same and is the same color and is even connected to the rest of the fog/smoke, so it is NOT something entirely differant as your claiming.

Picture of smoke IMO..........not supernatural.

Cool, but not cold enough for fog or exhaling vapour. Wow, im surprised at the amount of sceptics there are on this one. Wether or not it turns out to be ginuine ecto or not...you have to admit its a pretty cool shot with the figure in there where they jumped to their death.

its called the power of suggestion. you have been a victim of it twice already, in this thread.

you first said:

... plus the quite errie feeling you get being around it by yourself at night time. ...

the eerie feeling exists (in your mind) only because that area is already associated with the paranormal. you have a predisposition to feeling "afraid".

you then said:

... you have to admit its a pretty cool shot with the figure in there where they jumped to their death.

people see what they want to see as a result of a similar predisposition as discussed above. your opinion that you can see a "ghostly figure jumping to its death" is akin to those people who see a biblical character in an everyday object (ie. toast, rock, etc).

its great you have a good imagination, but sometimes your mind plays tricks on you.

Did you write "knees" on that photo? If so your outline of an entity should be admitted as an example of the extreme power of suggestion.

I'm only suggesting, go to the full size pic, that's just what it looks like, not saying it is.

I suggest it looks like a kneeling ghost.

Every pic of ectoplasm ive seen has been floating?...i just had an idea, this was the LAST photo i took for the night. It would be logical to theorise that there might have been something on the lens?... holding the camera in my hand while walking to the top of the wall, the heat from your hands CAN make a vapour mark. Just a thought.

It's not fog. Where I live it's foggy a lot and I've never seen fog like that. Also I was at one time a smoker and have seen the same thing in pictures I've taken when I smoked. The smoke is flowing out from the position of the photographer.

You are right though, everywhere you go on the net people are posting pics of smoke, mist and moisture orbs and call it ecto. I always thought it was a filmy substance too.

What's a plasma snake?

I think that Isawa lot of ectoplasm on the M62 the ather day, but it might have been fog

But really we would need to know the temperature and altitude I reckon.
I have seen photos where it could be breath or just localised atmospherics.

IMHO just inconclusive.

Whatever it may be, there is certainly a discernible image there.
