Yay, what's the next comp, Christmas?

We will try to have a Christmas competition up and running within the next week.

Keep an eye for it.

I've begun to receive some results, stay tuned.

Needless to say, the judges have been having a tough time on this one.

Duh, I need to get those timezones figured out, I thought I had another few hours.

Well as of midnight last night on the west coast the competition was closed. I thought that was a fair time for all those involved.

I have received results from most of the judges. I am stepping out for a couple hours in a moment, I hope to have the rest of the results when I return.

As soon as I receive them, the decision will be announced.

Well my votes are in and I just want to say that the art work, ideas and competition was excellent....

I must agree, we've had quite a few excellent submissions,
not to say they are'nt all good, but as this is a contest some
are better than others.

WE HAVE A TIE!

We had a tough formula for the judges to decide on a winner and still could not manage one winner. I thought it would be against everything thats good to pursue this and try to pick one winner, so both deserve recognition as coming out on top.

Who are they you ask?


With 50 Points Each, we have:

Toasty! & Zooplanction







Each judge (5 of them) chose their three favorite submissions. First place rewarded you 20 points, second place rewarded you 10 points, and third place rewarded you 5 points. The most any submission could receive was 100 points. If all judges had chosen your submission for first place, it would of warranted 100 points. So you can see how tight this was.

9 Different Members Received Votes!

Of 5 judges, we had 9 different submissions selected! That is just an indication of the level of competition we have here. All participants should be honored, as this was extremely tough.

One judge contacted me and begged that we beable to choose our 6 favorite. No Joke!

Springer, or a staff member can take a look at the results and dish out points accordingly. The fact the votes were so close for these three members who came out on top, I believe all three are deserving of some reward.

I enjoy doing the leg work for these competitions, so I'll make some time tomorrow to lay out some ground rules and we will have the next competition up and running.

I knew when I saw those two that they were probably going to come out on top. I personally like toasty's better, but that's only because I like the cartoony things better. I think that overall everybody did a good job, and I can't wait to see what the christmas avatars turn out like. I think there will be more people in the next one.
