In the past 36 hours Baghdad police say they have found 83 male civilian bodies with some showing signs of torture in the capital. Reports suggest
that they are the victims of sectarian attacks and gang violence.

The fresh killings came as the US said seven more US soldiers had died, and that troops had killed 13 insurgents.
The 56 dead were all men, estimated to be aged between 20 and 45, police Lt Mohammed Khayon told the Associated Press.
They were all dressed in civilian clothing and found with their hands and feet bound, Lt Khayon added, saying that none of the men had yet been
identified.

Initial reports say the killings look like they may have been done by gangs seeking ransoms.
But 83 of them? I guess they must have been stockpiling for some time, horrible as that may sound.
It's disgusting. Another 4 score bodies taken for what, a bit of money? But then, what's that entire war been about.
