Like me, Hyenas are the one of the most misunderstood animals in the animal kingdom.

Hyenas do not belong to the wild Dog family.
Hyenas do not belong to the wild/big cat family.
Hyenas belong to the meerkat family.
Hyenas have the one of the most powerful jaws in the animal kingdom
Hyenas have the most powerful jaws in the mammalian kingdom.
Hyenas only have one natural enemy.
It takes 3 lionesses to take down a wildebeest, whist it only takes one hyena to take down a wildebeest of similar size.
The average hyena is half the size and weight of the average lioness.
Hyenas hunt their own prey more than they scavenge.
Lions scavenge off hyenas more than hyenas scavenge off lions.
Hyenas use everything in nature. They even eat bones.
A hyenas heart is twice the size of a lion's.
A hyena's intelligence is equal to that of many species of ape.
A hyena can be taught tricks, however after a while they refuse to do it any longer, as though it gets boring.
A hyena changes and adapts strategies depending on the prey it hunts.
