Nothing to do with the actual topic but this's a quick view of the parties to clarify for the non-Dutch:
CDA = Christen Democratisch Appèl; Christians and Democrats basically. Liberal.
VVD = Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie; basically People's Party for Freedom and Democracy. They stand for entrepreneurs, economy, and such.
Liberal.
PvDA = Partij van de Arbeid; Party for Labor. They are social-democratic in nature basically about the workers of the country.
D66 = Democraten 66; progressive and liberal.
CU = Christenunie; the "union" for Christians. Social and christian in nature.
GroenLinks = Left Green; a left socialist party very much caring about nature, animals, and the likes.
LPF = Lijst Pim Fortuyn; Pim Fortuyn List. The party of the guy who got shot a couple o' years ago due to his right-wing ideas which angered certain
groups.
SP = Socialistische Partij; Socialist Party. Originally coming from a communist ideal, they want a united country where everybody is equal.
The Partij van de Dieren is noble, good-hearted, but foolish. At least that's what I think. Many people associate with the PvDA, the CDA, or VVD so
they are usually the biggest and strongest.
If I look at it fairly the Socialist Party should gain more control and power, because if you improve society, with that you might improve economy
too. And let's be frank... the Dutch land is full of decay of society.
