I was wondering if anyone could have a solution to my problem. I am currently editing a friends video onto DVD (-R) and everytime I output the file to DVD it burns correctly but when played back it pauses the video while the sound keeps playing and then the video skips to where the sound is up to. At the start of the disc it is once every thirty seconds or so but by the end of the disc it is completly unplayable.

I have tried different brands of disc, with the same result. Playing it back on the computers DVD player also gives the same result.

By the way my computer is only a few months old, the Video editing program is Pinnacle Studio Version 8.

If anyone has any ideas I really would like to hear them, I have hit a brick wall on this one. :bnghd:

See this site.

They have tons of information. You can search by program to see if there are any problems reported, or by the type of conversion and recording you are using.

Is it an old DVD player? I think some old ones can't keep up with the level of compression used on DVD-R's
