Sorry, I hate to be a little off topic here. I am making a "drama" film (not a hoax) and wish to include a really good composite of a flying saucer hovering over the trees - an immitation of those clever hoax video clips that really got us going on youtube, etc.

Anyone know of a home pc software program that produces such clips? Does adobe after effects do it? is it expensive? How much skill goes into producing these? Or maybe they're done by CGI animators at FX houses during their lunch break, etc?

Thanks.

I don't see why we should help you with that, we hate all fake UFO videos...
You could go with Adobe After Effects and try something there or hire a computer geek to help you.

but he just said it wasn't for a hoax film.

SwingingMonkey, no program will just create some UFO for you. You're going to have to make it yourself. You'll probably want to use some 3d software. 3D studio max is a good one. As are lightwave, maya and softimage. But if you've never done 3d before, they will take a lot of time to learn well. probably best to find some one to do it for you.

Speak for yourself, I don't hate them, and we can even learn something with them.

I also think that the best way is to find someone who already knows what to do, in that way you can reach your desired result quicker.

Edit: I had made 2 mistakes in one sentence, a personal record...
