The expanding EU.

The expansion of the EU is very worrying in 2004 it took former warsaw pact country's into it's fold eg: Poland, Latvia, Estonia etc. Soon Romania and Bulgaria will join.There are talks of Turkey, Croatia, Ukraine etc joining also. Where will it end?.
How can the citizen's of these country's vote in favour of becomeing part of such a faceless totalitarian system? The EU want's one police force,one military,one legal system,. Country's within the EU will soon be little more than subservient states and all without a shot being fired. Hitler would be proud.

Ukraine is not joing and nor is Croatia due to on going problems.

Israel may be joing, but talks will not happen for about a decade. Plus, EU will never form into a super state because France, UK, Germany, Spain will never expect it and will end up breaking away.

I said there were talks of Croatia and Ukraine joining!. Isreal is not even in europe, why the hell would they want to join the EU??,besides they are too busy slaughtering their neighbours.

EU have turned around and said Ukraine is not ready and Croatia talks have broken down. Israel has expressed a desire to join the EU because they see themselves as European.

Excuse me? the voting population do not want it. The UK is extremely Euroskeptic, Tony Blair is the first pro-European Prime Minister we have had. Whoever takes over from Blair, Cameron or Brown, are not pro-Europe. If the EU tried pushing towards a state, their would be riots and choas across Europe.

Plus, how can the UK want an EU superstate when our Government does not want the Euro and has avioded the question?

Israel has nothing to do with europian culture, and will never be europian, I as a europian will never see israel as an europian state.

Israel takes part in the UEFA international Football and is classfied as European on FIFA. Israel does not see itself as Middle Eastern, they see themselves as European. Israel takes part in other European events as well.

And please do not dig up old anti-semetic views such as "Jews are behind all the wars"

Another reason to favour EU expansion is that EU member states aren't going to be going to war with one another.

Its utterly amazing, France, Germany, and England are in a situation now where war between them, even by proxy, is unthinkable. That long term process has lead, at this point, to the current EU. Its truly incredible. Europe was one of the most violent and war torn continents in the world, and now, we don't even flinch at the thought of people in bavaria and lorraine using the same money, operating under more or less identical legal systems, and having representatives meet constantly to discuss policy without a hint of war campaigns to resolve their issues.

They're a liberal western democracy. That pretty much fits in with it being part of the wider european world. If turkey can be included, why not Israel? After all, the EU is really just a common agreement on certain rights and monteary policies, so any nation could potentially join.

Ok, that's not completely true, the biggest part of Turkey is not in Europe, but it so happens to be that their most important city Istanbul is in Europe, so that makes the situation a bit different.

However I do understand that Israel considers itself European. In the middle-East they have nothing but enemies. And they already join in a lot of European activities (Like Eurovision song contest of football )

After all, the EU is really just a common agreement on certain rights and monteary policies, so any nation could potentially join.

Theoreticly, even countries like South Africa could join EU, the EU could probably even become as big as the UN..

Just because they can play in uefa does not make them europian.
I don't mean to sound racist and I'm not, that is the last thing I am, but their not exactly white, they have no link to europians, nada, 0. that being indo europian, if they came from vikings , tracks, greeks or any other indo europian ansesters I would udnerstand.

Turky is the only arabic state of europe, they do deserve their place in europe, they've been here for a long time and I guess sooner or later they will integrate in the EU.

Turky is europian, I'm sorry to say that, but history is a witnes, the ottoman empire existed here from long ago, and it's geographical position has placed it in europe long ago, israel is deep in the middle east, europe is for europians.

Their languege is the same as arabic.
The only thing I don't understand is why they are fighting with palestinians any way, they grew up in history thoghether palestinians and jews, they should share and live in peace, it is their land.

What I'm saying is that the roots of europe are as they are, other like the mongols, ottomans and so on belong here because they migrated very early when europe was forming, so they do belong here in my opinion, but to take some country from middle east and put it here in europe is something I will never accept.

the answer is easy: scare mongering, which promises economic demise and strife if they don't join, then there are subsidies which are used to bribe the industry into compliance.

the EU 'constitution' enactment laws were voted down by the French and the Dutch, the rest wasn't even asked, how's that for sovereignity?

Not for nothin', but I don't see why race is an issue for the EU, particularly as compared to the allegation that it represents the coming of an NWO, which we have heard in this thread less than the race/geography question, and which is very surprising given that this is the NWO forum.

Now, as it just so happens, we have somebody here who isn't just an American looking in from the outside, which is a nice luxury, and being from the UK it stands to reason that he's familiar with the arguments, so let's try getting into the whole NWO angle and see how it measures up with the knowledge of our European members and the ample documentation available online if any of us choose to do a little research.

My first question:
What is totalitarian about the European Union? I can see how some would believe that bureaucracy might begin to infringe on the sovereignty of elected governments, but I also believe, if I understand correctly, that the European Union moves together primarily on foreign and economic policy, not domestic law. I fail to see how the EU in its present embodiment represents much danger of tyranny to the average citizen so much as just a potential limit to the ability to pursue national interests abroad in the way that the United States does.

I'd also think it might be a good idea if some of us would volunteer our nationalities. I think it would be very interesting if it turned out that a bunch of Americans were concerned about Europeans losing the right to be as belligerent as we are.

(As you might gather from the colors in the corner of my profile, I'm an American)

Where did everybody go? Did I strike a nerve, or did the EU just silence you all to protect its evil NWO agenda?
