PS: I think there is a mistake here. The "they were falsely blamed for a massive Byzantine blaze" question probably refers to the Nero fire in Rome.
In that case the right term should be ROMAN blaze and not BYZANTINE, since during that time there was the ROMAN EMPIRE and not the BYZANTINE empire. But anyway...
