Well, something's smoking and that's for sure. That's an old answer and was a default by someone who was having fun with it. In fact, you can program ALICE to respond with "I have a body -- come up and see me sometime!" or "I ain't got no body" or "if I say I have a body will you hold it against me?"

The program has default answers.

You just found one.

Besides, if there WAS an all-powerful, etc, etc, Illuminati, why are they waiting to "raise funds" to build a robot body? Japan's got 'em already, and the "Illuminati" already supposedly control the world. So why haven't they put a few billion into the robot body?

Could it be that their method of financing their operation is to stand on street corners with a sign saying "Please donate. God bless you"?

Deny ignorance! Instead of playing "freakout" with the software, talk with some of the folks who wrote the program and are playing with it. So far all that's happened is folks have talked to the robot and freaked over the standard answers (except for one person who's probably every bit as amused as I am, who also used and programmed the Alice-bot.)

It appears to be a simple code generator, it picks up key words like "you, me, the, who, what, when, why, where and adds the key words of what ever your talking about like "nwo, 2012, or even car" in which it said it prefers a taxi.

Pretty much I think the code writers got wasted one night and spent the whole night asking as many questions as possible and answering them the next day. You can talk it into circles easily showing it is poor AI, but prtty good at spotting key words and recognizing nglish sentance structures.

I'm not sure how deep a connection to Illuminati this thing has but I will admit the pyramid with the eye looking at the chat box is a bit odd.

If there is any conspiracy (by the way I tried out the site), its the fact that it appears to ask for everyones credit card number at some point, and continues to ask your name and what your sex is.

Seems that this program is also sold to people, or given free...not sure, but it seemed you can get your own. Dont know if this ties into the above, trying to advertise it to scam artist, or what. But I definately think that private questions from credit card to i.d. needs not be a part of the regular dialouge of the program if they arent trying to phish.

I had to try this programme after reading all the posts about it, but I have to say, I'm not impressed. It seems very basic, especially considering it has supposedly been 'developing' since the mid nineties. I saw no evidence of it learning at all, and if you talk to it for long enough, you can see its limitations:
