Call this a redeux of my thread from earlier this year
NSF to ATS: You're
Stupid!!!
This article just appeared -- nicely packaged around Halloween -- to attempt
to trump anyone who may remotely believe in the possibility of the supernatural. Now, I'm sure physicist Costas Efthimiou is a very smart man, but
he just comes across as an ass in this story. And while I'm skeptical like him, I find his explanation to be --well--lacking at the best.
And even better, the story parades out the NSF study linked above that tries to paint people who believe in UFOs, aliens, cryptozoology, ghosts, etc.
as unable to handle critical thinking, bad candidates for juries and confuses fact and fiction.
I restart this because the NSF continues to propogate this "study" to the public to lay the smackdown on people like us.
Have at it, ya'll.
