Microwave-oven gun

Yeah Rip some Microwaves appart, concentrate the output beam on a single location
and voila! a microwave gun capable of destroying nearby electronics, burn skin....

The only puzzle is why the US government Patent Office has published an application that might explain to anyone, including terrorists, how to build such a weapon.

Oh man, that would be so cool to own one of those microwave guns!
I could sit in my chair with my microwave gun in hand, and shoot it at the microwavable popcorn across the room! I wouldn't even have to get up!

Or like if your at the table, and Grandpa across the table starts bitchin' about his food gettin' cold and stuff, you just whip out that Microwave gun and zap his plate. Then tell him to stop complaining, that he's just imagining things. I bet he'd be so surprised when he tries another bite and it's piping hot!

Great! sonoe you can cook you dinner, and make the guy across the street stop with the annoying music at the same time!
