HI,
Just wondering why it is that as a guest (not logged in) I see interesting topics that
I'd like to respond to and then when I log in, the topic disappears and its impossible
to find unless its a popular one? Even in the 5 minute update at the left I cant find it.

I use tags and search but still cant find it.
This happens on ATS topics.

Please help. What am I doing wrong?

yeah, whats up with that? is it because people post articles of information at late hours and you have a time frame. so when the time is up , you loose the article of information. is this because yu do not have enough space or something on ats? i dont understand.

If you are talking about the sidebar on the left of the main ATS forum, then you are incorrect. Your topic does not disappear. That list basically shows the most recently responded to threads. It refreshes every 5 minutes.

If no one answers or posts anything on a paticular thread for a while, the thread will go off that list. It still exists. But until someone posts something on it, it wont be on the most recent list.

You simply have to go to the forum that it was posted and check it out there.

Thanks for helping.
This topic is still in the 5 minute update.
So I dont get it really.
Not unless the topics I was about to respond to before were left behind and replaced by the new 5 minute update.

I think that must be it. Thanks again for the help.

One more question, if its not too much.
Where do the topics GO after they go out of the 5 minute update corner?
Rather than sift through ALL the forums of ATS to find the topic that was on a few minutes earlier, is there a last 50 posts or an option kind of like that, that may help
to make the thread easier to find?

For example , I posted this in the ATS FRESHMANS FORUM .
How would anyone know that if it disappears from the 5 minute update page?
How would you find THIS topic if you were looking for it?

If it was old topic from a few hours before I'd understand but these topics that I lost were newish.

Alls I ask is the next time you see a member asking the same question, take a moment and pass on the information.
