I am sure you have all thought about or discussed the issue of what song/music you would like to have played at your funeral with friends but I would love to here what the people of ATS would have played at theirs.

I (having talked about this today) would have to choose "The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult.

Although it is about lovers dying together a la Romeo And Juliet, it is about being re-united with loved ones that have died and is one of the classic rock choons of all time!

Either that or "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley

Dont worry about a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Singin: dont worry about a thing,
cause every little thing gonna be all right!

So... what would you have as a song to sing yourselves out of this life to the next?

"Rubber Ducky, You're the One" from Sesame Street.

I've always had a sense of humor and made everyone around me laugh. My wife doesn't know, my parents don't know and my best friend doesn't know. There is only one person who knows what song I want played and everyone else knows she gets to pci the song.

I want everyone to chuckle and laugh at my funeral. It is not a time for sadness but a time to laugh and reflect.

Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd

I guess it's more dedicated to my mother (still living) than it is to me....
Reminds me alot of the things she used to talk to me about when I was younger.

Since I was a kid I always wanted One Step Beyond by Madness, but then Jack Black robbed my idea in High Fidelity.

If I used it now people would of course assume I got the idea from that movie, which I CANNOT accept.

I've considered many songs, but nothing definitive, I dont like thinking about my own death too much, but if it was my time, I would like the following songs played.

Walking in Memphis: By Marc Cohn, a classic song.

Free Falling by Tom Petty

Tangerine by Led Zeppelin

Deja Voodoo by Kenny Wayne Shephard

and lastly, the closing song should be Every Breath You Take by The Police.

My choice would be "Siegfried's Funeral Music" from Gotterdammerung by Wagner.

I'm just not sure if my wife would be okay with it...

'Last Summon' by Jared Hudson. Never heared of him? Ah...He's pretty underground.

If not I'd like 'In thr Shadows' by The Rasmus. (Yes, It's been organised. They are going to come and play in person!)
What ever happened to those guys anyway?

EDIT

No sleep
No sleep until I am done with finding the answer
Won't stop
Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer
Sometimes
I feel I going down and so disconnected
