Dave 'let the sunshine win' Cameron, the Cameleon's at it again.

David Cameron is to accuse Tony Blair of encouraging ageism with his 'Cool Britannia' emphasis on youth and modernity, in an audacious grab by the Tory leader for the 'grey vote' of millions of ageing Britons

observer.guardian.co.uk...

This from the guy who wants 'hoodies' hugged, trots out a web-cam to prove his modernity and publicly plans talks with rappers from the USA about their lyrics!

One also has to wonder at just how out of touch this guy is; 'the whole cool Britannia thing happened at the start of Labour's return to office 9 yars ago.

It'll be interesting to see how this crass opportunism goes down.......especially when it's aimed against the first British government to have just passed meaningful legislation outlawing ageism!
Oct 1st 2006 Labour's anti-ageism law comes in

He is a populists.

That what the Tories policy will be based around. They will keep the "Green" tag along with some traditional views, plus the Bill of Rights. But expect a good 70% to be popualist views.

Well i don't often agree with you sminkey but when it comes to cameron i fully support what you are saying. The guy seems expert at grabbing the popular opinions, just as blair was when he came in.

At the moment i prefer the conservatives to labour, but if cameron stays as leader, well i don't know where i would place my vote.
