I recently had alot of time on my hands, caught in a world between sleep and hallucination, on account of a very high fever, and various viruses
corsing through my bloodstream...
I was floating, hovering upon a sea of white nothingness, and I was for some reason reminded of a movie I had seen a few nights ago: The Matrix:
Revolutions.
I began to wonder about all of the matrix movies, all the way back to the original matrix, which first turned me on to the Idea that I may be living
in naught but a dream world...
Is It possible that we've all had the wool pulled over our eyes?
Yes.
Think of the technology that the government keeps behind closed doors....and what could have happened without our knowledge....that thought scares
me...
If the world was in fact destroyed overnight...which with modern weapons is WELL more than possible, none of us would know, truthfully. Then, if we
all were bred for the sole purpose of being energy for something, we couldn't really know, could we?
I crave knowledge. Always have. If there's something going on like this on a subconscious level in my mind...what is there preventing it from
actually happening? As Descartes once said, it is the prerequisite of imagination that something be possible.
This means that in Descartes' understanding of the mind, For us to imagine something happening, IE in our dreams, that it had to first appear as
plausible to our minds. which means that our minds are unbound by the physical parameters of this world, a la The Matrix.
This is one of the key points that I feel backs me up in believing that we are in a world that is somehow less than real. If we can imagine things in
our subconscious that we regard otherwise as impossible or implausible, or unable to be enacted with current pysical limitations, then it has to be
possible in one way or another.
I say this simply because I hold alot of faith in two things overall....the human brain, and it's depth beyond what we actually know, and the
philosophies of one Renee Descartes.
Let me know what you think...Free your mind.
