Dream about mount Rainier

Last night I had a really strange dream. I was at first looking at my computer, and I saw that there had been a magnitude 8 earthquake at mount Rainier. Then I was looking at the volcano from the top, rotating in view to from one side. Then there was another earthquake, and three huge cracks appeared in the side of it. They seemed to all join into one crack at the bottom of the mountain. Then it exploded, and I woke up.

I understand that the chance of a magnitude earthquake on Rainier is very low.

Sweet! I just hope the ash doesn't get too dense out here like during the Helen's explosion.

just out of interest, where is that? if its anywhere south of about the America/Canada boreder, there would be problems I think.

Edit: Just remembered, I had that dream almost exactly a week after there was a 4.5 earthquake near it.

Well, I turns out there was an EQ on Mt. Rainier today. Hope It's not the start of something bigger?

Earthquake "Mount Rainier"

well, you never know, but there are usually some really small ones, but normally they don't seem to amount to anything.

FYI: Mount Ranier is close to Seattle, Washington. It is South of the Canada/U.S. border. Mount Ranier is an active volcano. (vs. dormant) It was venting steam and other gasses from one side throughout the 1990's. I don't know if it's venting now. Venting is a good sign. It means pressure is being released, which helps to prevent a large eruption.

It's interesting that in your dream, you saw cracks on the side. I wonder if it was on the side that's been venting? Hmm...

Yes, I know where rainier is, i have quite an interest in volcanoes for some reason.

I forgot to say, in my dream it was almost entirely snow covered, so I guess it was in the winter, as opposed to the summer.

I had another dream last night like this, while I didn't see rainier in it, I was looking at the USGS earthquake site and saw a large earthquake had been there, and several smaller ones, all in red (meaning in the last hour). I didn't see a date in my dream though.

A probably unrelated fact, but just before I went to bed last night the Global consciousness dot was completely red.

I am from another forum sygyzy and a friend of mine told me about your dream so I came to read your posts. I also have been having dreams of Mt. Rainier but I also live 38 miles in its back yard.
The 4.5 and other Earthqaukes that have been going on there is to the east side of the montain its not actually part of the Volcano but very near by. Mt. Rainier has been having allot of smaller Earthqaukes the past month it you look at the Webicorders on all 4 of the stations they allso have been very active but allot of it iis due to all the wind and rain and the bad storms in the pacific north west right now.
In your dream you also pointed out there would be snow on top of Rainier . Mt. Rainier has snow on top year round they are Glaciers. The biggest concern with Mt. Rainier would be the melting of these Glaciers in case of an eruption and that would cause a massive Lahar.
Just wanted to give you more information keep posting if you have more dreams.

I suppose in my dream I saw the Glaciers cracking apart.

I know also that they are to the side of the volcano (Google earth is so useful) most of the time too, but you never know, there may be new activity to the side.
