Bagdad

I am just wondering what the big deal is about Bagdad.

I have read all kinds of articles about it and it seems to have quite the history.

I have read it has a stargate buried below it, it was the garden of eden, it has great religious meaning, and Bush feels if he can control it it will give him some great power.
Also it has hidden caves under it with great riches.

I have read that there are special military/ archeolagist doing some digging in the region as we speak.

What I would like is to put all your theories into one thread so they can be discussed.

Several years ago carbon dating of charcoal from a archeological site near the confluence of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers indicated that it was the oldest city on the planet. The site is the current location of a park in current day Bhagdad.

Baghdad was the capitol of the Islamic empire before the Mongols sacked it. Maybe Bush is trying to revive it.
