I do admire your dedication CYRAX and I have looked at the photo's in most of your posts. I can't help feeling that you want to see a UFO so much that you are clutching at straws a little.

The original size photo's are just blobs in the sky that could be anything - the close ups are interesting but when you digitally zoom into images like this they often become very strange looking.

I'm not dissing you but what the world needs is some convincing close up clear images... rather than more and more indistinct blobs.

Perhaps you are the person the do this as you seem to put so much into looking in the sky and taking photographs.... just keep it up and hopefully one day you will post something really special.

Sorry I didnt want to sound as if you were rubbish. You're doing a good job with obviously lots of enthusiasm.
Just that to impress people photo's need to be a little bit special.
It is easy for me to say that they are just blobs but I wasnt there and you were, so I cant really tell what was special about the object.,
Sorry that you are dissapointed by the posts on this thread.

Exactamondo!!

Well done mark one for the sain.

It could be one of these for sure

Some the baloon are massive and so could easily been seen clearly from a great height.

Nothing to see here... move along lol ;p

but if a ballon can stay stationery then it must be a ballon

depends on where you are looking at it from a moving object can appear to be stationary if you see it from the right angle - sometimes aircraft seem to hang in the air for ages

Very true. If the balloon is very high then it could be moving around miles and to you it would be hardly moving at all.

Perspective is a really strange thing.... if the balloon was closer to the horizon it would look bigger than if it was directly above, caused by the lack of anything to compare it to.

Anyway.

All the best,

NeoN HaZe.

If you look closely you can clearly make out the balloon section (someone said it looked like an alien face)
And the equipment hanging under it.

Though it does looks like this balloon is possibly damaged and on its way down.

Balloons that are meant to fly at high altitudes actually have very little gas in them cause with the decrease in air pressure at high altitudes creates a pressure deferential and the balloon actually blows itself up.

So this Balloon probably burst due to having too much gas loaded to begin with.

The reason it possibly seemed to shimmer or flash is mostly down to the light wavelengths being refracted by the atmosphere (the particulate in the air between you and the object)

In addition I would also like to state that you are seriously lucky to live under a sky that colour!!!!

Here in England its mostly shades of grey for 9 months of the year!!!

All the best,

NeoN HaZe.

Well, we all know where this thread will go..... nowhere.

It doesn't look like a balloon, at all, it doesn't look like a jet, helicopter, kite, plastic bag, transformer, key, earring, or anything like that. You know what it looks like? It looks like an object, floating or flying in the sky, and it is unidentifiable. That is what it will be for the rest of this thread. An Unidentifiable Flying/Floating Object, or UFO.

Mostly ALL of the skeptics still think UFO means "alien craft", but it doesn't. It just means its in the sky, and its unidentifiable. So stop jumping to conclusion people.

With that said... thank you original poster for these pictures of a UFO. If it wasn't for people like you, I would have never found pictures of a UFO that I saw in my backyard. It was so weird looking I didn't want to take my eyes off, and I never got a picture of it. About a year later, I found pictures and a video of it here:

LINK

...just like the pictures in this thread, the crazy skeptics that will say anything because they are so close minded, have said it looks like a "mylar balloon". I'll tell you what, I have never in my life seen a balloon fly against the wind. Nor have I seen it hover in one spot. The link above shows the SAME EXACT object I saw, and this was on a completely different day/year, and a completely different city. So, when someone says "its looks like a mylar balloon", they don't care if it looks like one or not, that will be their answer.

In conclusion, don't stop taking pictures and sharing it on the net. People benefit from it in more ways than you can imagine. Hopefully you can host your UFO pictures on a server that doesn't delete files over time to save room. Sooner or later someone will come forward and say "I SAW THAT TOO!", and give us more information.

It does look like a balloon as Neon Haze pointed out, you can make out the popped balloon material and the equipment suspended underneath it. And those were good pictures to compare it to btw Neon Haze

The only strange thing is that Cyrax said it wasn't moving, but if a weather balloon popped wouldn't it fall like a stone?

I'm sorry but I'm totally going to ignore everyone that says this looks like a balloon. You have to be on drugs to think it does.

If this was a popped balloon with equipment on it, yes it WOULD fall like a rock, and it would be a noticeable fall no matter what perspective you see it from. But since it is an object that does not even remotely come close to looking like it could suspend itself in air with weight on it according to known physics, I don't understand how anyone can even think it looks like a balloon.

Like I said, IT WILL ALWAYS BE AN UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT FOR THE REST OF THE TOPICS LIFE TIME.

Firstly movement of an object is a matter of perspective. I question how long the object was observed at one time. and as you may notice from the pictures of the object that it is observed in a cloudless sky.

The object leaves no vapour trail and with nothing to measure any change in direction or movement then it would appear to be stationary.

If you want to know about the physics behind vectors and perceptive this makes a good read

The Mathematics of Continuity

By the looks of the images it looks like the balloon is deflating, normally a decompression at high altitudes would cause the balloon to explode but if there is a leakage in the seal then it would cause the balloon to slowly deflate, However , in the end it would fall like a LEAD balloon lol

All the best,

NeoN HaZe.

Hummm...

very interesting shape... I wonder how accurate it is, at that high of a resolution boost...
at present...
I think it looks more like this, than a balloon...
spaceship one in falling leaf mode

Wouldn't happen to be near a launch test site would you?

theres no way its deflating if its a busted ballon from the start maybe but i dont believe its deflating and why did it just disappear???
