Demonic Possession

Alright then. Anyone else have any personal experience with demons of any kind? Hopefully I can have some interesting information later today or tommorow. I have a source who is supposedly going to hand me some privy information on the subject. I'm skeptical to say the least though. We'll see what happens.

Any of you out there into Black magic or something similar? Something in which you conjur and call on demons? I know there a lot of people who claim to do that. Are there any of those people here?

Here we go, I found something interesting on demons. Tell me what you think about this...

A "Demon" was originally a Greek term which meant a wise, guardian spirit. In present day spiritualism and parapsychology, the word connotes an entity which appears to have a malicious and resentful nature, and is possibly of a non-human origin: differentiated from a spirit which proceeded from a once-living person.

What characteristics do these entities evince?

1- They seem interested in, and often resentful (perhaps envious?) of living human beings.

2- Although they have been known to inflict minor injuries on people, such as scratches, welts and even what appear to be bite marks, primarily they assault the human mind through oppressive anxiety and fear.

3- They sometimes make their presence known through our senses, such as inexplicable foul odors and low gutteral growling (examples of which have been recorded during investigations as well as investigations by other paranormal research groups).

Demons may exist as a "quasi life-form," inteligent though not reasoning as do human beings, and existing outside the boundaries of our experience of linear time.

An exorcism or spiritual cleansing may provide a remedy, either temporary or hopefully permanent, against demonic infestation by making the environment hostile for the entity or entities.

Here's a topic for speculation: Obviously, not much is known for certain regarding these entities called demons other than their presence is quite inconvenient. Consider, could a human spirit become demonic, or be assimilated by the demonic entities? Are they always of non-human origin?

Extremely accurate explanation as what to i have dealt with on certain things mentioned,malicious indeed,odours (foul to sweet),i have seen marks / scars but these were on oppressed when arriving,i have yet to witness this as marks appear while present.

I know they do and can take on form/s such as from deceased relative/s or friends or anyone we know or have met/seen.

They can be active as what we would call "poltergeist" by moving objects and more,the thing that gets me is residential entities ,as my belief a human soul cannot wander earth as it's not what God say,we shall "rest" until the 2nd coming is the "rule" so these lost entities needs help as they are wandering in a realm of nothing good ,so if you exorcise them they should leave straight away ..take the light..but in lots of cases it seems they are stuck ,but then as God gave some people the gift to do spiritual warfare i know he gave others the gift to deal with lost souls,then you get people who will call on dead relatives and creating a doorway for demons and they think it's their relatives,

You can do spiritual warfare or whatever,always things to learn and find out,never too old to learn,just when dealing with "bad entities" arm yourself cause you don't wanna get burned (Eph 6 Armour i am talking bout,not guns and crosses..all spiritual) ..i know i am on dangerous ground but i know Who has my back

That's right. I have never dealt with this kind of stuff personally, this was just information I put together while doing research. I hope that perhaps this thread can help someone. It doesn't look as though there is anyone else who has had personall experience with demons around here. I can only hope it stays that way.

My pastor has dealt with this. He says a better way to say it is "demonic attachment". In the 70's he had a church in California and one time at an evening service He remembers a man during the service who began crawling over and under the pews and if I remember right became vocally disruptive(I don't know if it was with words or simply sounds).

I found out more info on this story tonight at church. I was mistaken, it didn't happen in California, it happened in McHenry, Illinois. My pastor said there was a problem with the demonic at that time in that town when he was there. This man was a regular attendee and he had come in a wed. evening. They went into his office along with 2 other church members. The man sat down in a wooden captains chair. My pastor began to pray for deliverance from this demon. Then the man in a instant broke both arms from the chair and in a matter of a few seconds had reduced the chair to kindling. There was a helium tank in his office because they were filling balloons for an event. The man then picked up the helium tank above his head and tossed it into a metal filing cabinet. At that point he went out of the office and started crawling over and under the pews. My pastor then told the demon to come out. The demon through the man replied, "I don't have to obey you, your a nobody." My pastor replied, "That's right but you do have to obey the name of Jesus." The demon was brought under authority because my pastor is in Christ and the man was delivered.

My pastor and his wife described this event tonight and if anybody has seen a man by the name of Bob Larsen on TV, he does demonic deliverances. The way they described the event matches with what Bob Larsen does. I don't know if there is a video on the internet of Bob Larsen doing this so that you can see an actual one instead of what is portrayed in the movies.

Wow. Thanks for sharing that. That is an incredible story to say the least. I can just imagine someone crawiling around in the church growling and snarling. I really appreciate you sharing though. Thanks.

Here is a little story, not for the squweemish.

I grew up with a kid (went to school with him, hung out with him) who killed his mother last summer. I knew he had problems, but not like that. I saw him talk to himself a lot, and laugh and smile...all by himself. A friend of mine went to see him one day, and he came out of his house, very agressively, screaming "get out of my yard" with a very strange accent, his eyes my friend said, "looked evil". Other people, including his own parents said he was have "episodes" where he wasn't himself at all, and would change into something very evil.

His mother was found, chopped up, in the family bathtub, nude, one eyeball missing, and her throat ripped out. Blood was spattered all through the house, the weapon was not recovered, but Police believe it was an axe. The reports say she was beaten by her son severly over the course of a few hours, then, she was blugeoned to death, and had her throat cut all the to her spinal cord. Her husband found her that way when he came home from work. He immediately knew his son was responsible. His son is now sitting in jail, incompitant his lawyer says, to stand trial.

I knew him well, highly intelligent with an excellent vocabulary, he read a lot, knew a lot about world history, wasn't an outcast at all either, at least, before he started showing signs that something was terribly wrong.

a few days before he did this, I saw him, and asked him how he was doing, his reply: "Getting closer to death every day" with a smile.

I spoke with the local pastor, who also knew him well, and the pastor agreed, dark forces were at work in full force.

I do believe he is posessed.

His father later asked him, if he knew the severity of what he did, to wich he replied "It's just not a big deal to me".

Interesting stuff. I just have another thought on the subject. I have heard before online but I don't remember where exactly a thought on demons being extra terrestrial beings particularally reptilian beings who are more advanced than we are, meaning they have superior DNA etc...

Just a thought that was different than any so far, I am not saying that is what it is, it is just something to thing about.

It may seem to be an over simplification but unless you believe in magic most cases of demon possession are actually cases of hearing voices.

In primitive parts of the world the people who believe that they have spirit possession act out communications with demons and sometimes communications with ancestors. They are held in high esteem rather than considered mentally ill.

No one can "open the box" and look in to determine if someone is actually spirit possessed. We rely on their actions and what they tell us or preach to us.

If they lack the additional odd behaviors that would define mental illness those who benefit from the situation support their belief in demons and spirit possession.

Who benefits? Those who cast out the demons.

There is a "conflict of the physiology of sight" that was accidentally discovered when it caused mental breaks for knowledge workers. One of the first outcomes is hearing voices. Each person understands the mental event in terms of their own belief system. These mental events happen around the world and are mistaken for mental disorders. They are called Culture Bound Syndromes.
