A German lawyer is hoping to attract more business by pursuing compensation claims for people who believe they have been abducted by aliens.
"There's quite obviously demand for legal advice here", Jens Lorek said on Thursday.
"The trouble is, people are afraid of making fools of themselves in court".
Lorek, a lawyer based in the eastern city of Dresden who specialises in social and labour law, said he hoped to get more clients by taking on the unusual work.
He has yet to win any abduction claims, but says there are plenty of potential clients, noting that extra-terrestrial watchdogs report hundreds of alien assaults every year.

If anyone somehow wins a case out of this, I wonder how many milliseconds it'll take for that law will be modified to exclude suspected extraterrestrial abductions
