Why Earth???

Let me say to begin with I fully believe that ET's exist. The universe is vast and the chance of life outside of earth is more than just a chance. I have also had some extremely odd occurences in my life that add fuel to this belief. But out of the whole universe why Earth? Out of all the possible civilizations that exist why are we supposedly abducted and monitored to the point that Aliens would make deals with our governments. to me this is in a sense a Delusion of grandeur. We are a fraction of a droplet of water in the ocean of the universe and we are so important that multiple groups of aliens come from far away planets to play the role of scientific observer. I mean whatever point our civilization is in evolution we are too old to be primordial and we are too young to be wise. So whats the big intergalactic fuss about? In my opinion if a race or races of aliens is monitoring us they must have created us because I see no other reason for any race to travel a great distance just to watch advanced monkeys live their lives. Either that or Aliens are the best cover story ever for our governments to fly over any country they want and perform experiments on anyone they want without answering to anyone.

But humans will travel thousands of miles to observe different species, but we didn't create them.

I also beleive 100% that our planet is being visited by ET's, so now that's out of the way..........

I just think that we are like a stop-off point or maybe a zoo. But then again, if one thinks about all the ancient cizilisations with their drawings of supposed ET's, maybe they did create us.

I believe we were created by another species, I cant beleive the moon that keeps us alive (if it wasn't there we would all die) is there by chanc, it was put there by whoever to incubate us in a sense, so another species who cant reproduce can possibley study us and maybe want to be able to recreate our reproductive organs in themselves, which is were hybrids come in.
Well thats one theory anyway!!

We don't even have enough evidence to know if we are really visited by extraterrestrial beings.

And if we are, we have even less information about what happens in other parts of the Universe.

Think of it this way.

When Cristoforo Colombo arrived at the Americas, would the American natives know what was happening with the European exploration of Africa?

The fact that I mention Cristoforo Colombo mademe think of another thing; could the aliens (if they really visit us) think that they have found their "India" when in fact they have found their "America"?

Well, how do we know we are the only ones being abducted? I'm sure if they target us they might go after some other life forms that we know nothing about.

my theory is that aliens/ET's dont visit this planet at all. they are scared of our inprecictability combined with our big, shiney, powerfull weapons. this does however give them reason to observe us and monitor whether we might launch a nuke at them or not.
i am also stating that they are unaware that our planet is split up into many nations and our governments hide vast amounts of information from the masses that make up the population so therefore the must think that we as a whole planet would act upon ET's arrival rather then the government.

I'm sure that if we found other planets with life on them, we might eventually go there and study them from a scientific and anthropological reasons.

On the other hand, 6 billion humans, times about 150 pounds per human: That's 9 hundred billion pounds of free, fresh meat.

There are the aliens, and there is what people are led to think about the aliens. These are not the same thing. If people don't know the aliens, then they can be led to believe anything about them, and they are.

We are one race of people of many races of people, just like we are each one country of many on our own world, only we too should be working together with ourselves here already. All other races around us do. We share this area of space, and what each race does affects all of the others. The individuals who travel here are representatives of their races and "the" true professionals of their races. All of those here are working together now to build a diplomatic relationship with our world, whether certain leaderships of certain governments of Earth like it or not. Earth leaderships can't stop it, but they sure succeed at making it difficult.

All advanced races visit their neighboring worlds. This is how they network to help each other, share technology, knowledge and experience, and map all of known space. Most important of all, this is how they maintain the vital peace all depend on, even for us. We need to get ourselves advanced too, or we're just not going to make it at all.

The reason for increasing public sightings of alien crafts while still the covert manner in which the other races are meeting with individuals is because they have to sneak around government control of information and try not to name their individual human contacts to those who control information. The problems we are having making open contact 'world to worlds' are all and only about the circumstances of the way Earth is run. We are at a dire point in our evolution now when it has become critically necessary for the alien races to get in to talk with individual people, and only those willing to risk the difficulties, can the aliens work with.

Not too long ago, there were a few races who were misusing particular humans out of their own desperation because they had to and because they could. Earth powers discovered it, but they did not try to stop the misuse of humans by alien life- they just tried to get in on it instead. These things are not happening and can not happen anymore due strictly to the efforts of the organization of our visiting races, and the inappropriate contact did not represent the vast, productive, consensual contact going on between the hundreds of races visiting and their own human contacts.

Rampant professional slander, framing for crimes, gross exaggerations of abuse and planting of false evidence is being generated across the publics of Earth against any and all visiting races as the main part to the prevention of true knowledge and acceptance. It is very easy to manipulate popular thinking by playing on human fears, prejudice, religious beliefs and daily strife we all live under on Earth, and cause people to project that onto every other unknown race. All Earth powers have to do to keep control to themselves and continue running Earth and humanity on suffering and destruction for their personal benefit is keep the people confused and unknowing of better options. But worse, the maintenance of "National Security" includes criminal harassment of known alien experiencers to shut them up, one way or another.

We humans as a whole race are still having a very difficult time accepting other life, due entirely now to the tactics of those who are trying to prevent the particular changes that acceptance is going to bring. Humans who remain so afraid and untrusting of their own alien contacts cannot learn from what the aliens have to offer us as one whole race.

Why Earth!?

Because Earth is very special? I heard Earth is a VERY unique planet. (multidimensional planet)

Because humans REALLY are an interesting enough species.

Think amount how much cave moss they had to sponge over just to find them.

We not only exist but we always exist.

This statement doesn't make any sense. We haven't devised a single military weapon which didn't take the laws of physics into study. Surely if saucers are able to easily outperform our best fighters, go underwater, and into space, they know a little bit about the physical world.

As far as the comment on the nuke.... well that shows a lack of research into the phenomenon.

A bad assumption in my opinion. Human biologists are very aware of social structures of other species of animals. There's no reason why they might not study us in the same way. Granted, while they might have deduced some things they may not know of every intricate detail our gov't "hides from us." But would they really care about such things?

i suppose, we are a model of primitive social structure, we've merely got more advanced weapons then our ancestors. i for one would probably study intelligent animal life, like dolphins or bonobo's if i were from another world.

i'm sorry this is where you totally lose me. are you trying to say that homo sapiens sapiens(that's us, modern man) has been around forever? and if so , how'd you reach this conclusion?

oh i agree the day is coming when we'll know what the craft are exactly and where they come from. however i don't know how close it is.


as for the OP question, why earth? the possibility exists that life in the universe is far more abundant than we can possibly imagine and that many civilizations outside our solar system travel everywhere. and as suggested earlier study more primitive planets like ours. and hey, if i had a ship capable of interstellar flight, i'd be buzzdivin all sorts of other planets and messin with the natives.

i think aliens would be interested in us in the same way humans will travel all over the globe to view apes,

if you subscribe to the idea that aliens are a far advanced civilisation socially and technologically of course they will be interested in looking at a species that may show them how there civilisation was thousands of years ago

of course there is also the idea of ochams razor the simplest explanation is often the correct one, they just want to no particular reason they just stumbled upon us and chose to have a look around

i wouldnt bet on it. it has been said many a time that if only we devoted more effort into the space technologies and that of medicine we would have achived interplanitary space travel and a cure for most things by now. that is my theory on more advanced races. thay didnt devote their time to building weapons unlike us.

It is there by chance, and life on earth is a consequence of it's presence...yes we would'nt be here if the moon didn't exist but it does so though

It's the water - we have an enormous quantity of H2O - far more than typical terrestrial-type planets in this orbital plane. They want to know why. Our myriad species are for the most part water as well. It's atypical. Draws interest - curiosity. We've evolved differently because of it. It's one of the reasons we are 'under the microscope'. There are other reasons. Stay tuned...

I think they would have badass weapons for this reason:

Our natural world(us included)is based upon survival of the fittest.
Weak and ineffective species are killed off/eaten/pushed out by Stronger,more adaptable species.
I think the rest of the universe opperates the same way.Therefore if an advanced alien race have become the dominant species on their world,they will have developed some form of weaponry.
As to what it may be,i do not know....but looking at the way our war fighting techniques are advancing I will speculate.
I think alien weaponry would be super stealthy-if an attack was launched on us we may not notice it until its too late.
Best way to fight a chaotic and potentially violent enemy is to do so in such a way that the enemy doesn`t know its under attack.

How about a tectonic resonator-to initiate global earthqukes from the saftey of space?
We would probably blame climate change...

Or some sort of altered parasite,which is inhaled and then controls the behaviour of its host(us),making us subservient or fearful when the aliens arrive.

Too be honest though,if i was an evil alien force i would use the humans violent streak against them.Simply laser a dozen or so secret facilities and missile silos in China and USA at the same time,then sit back and watch the humans destroy each other in a world war.
