You couldn't make this pic look more fake if you wanted too. The first tip off is the doll they are using has no face to speak of and is as rigid as a petrified tree. This is most likely because it is probably made of wood draped with clothing.

Come on people, you can't really think this is genuine can you?

I like how it's not just "smoke" coming from the leprechaun, but "magical smoke".
Isn't that like leading the witness or something?

Peace

Realanswers-
Good find. Cool picture. And since this sort of creature is know to be "mythical" it fits in this forum perfectly well....I enjoyed looking it over, I agree that the photo appears to show a very small man in the right corner, with smoke around him. What he is exactly, who knows

I have a short story to contribute.
I had a teacher in highschool who was a member of Mufon, and was a hard core UFO guy, he is well respected &known in the area. He had a photo that was given to him, taken in the 1960's, In Maine. the story is a mother was taking highschool yearbook photos of her daughter in the family backyard, wich, is heavily wooded. Numerous photos were snapped that day, &the daughter in different poses. They had them developed, and in one photo, noticed the strangest thing. A very small, (about 12 inches tall) man standing near the edge of the woods. He was wearing a small vest, with pants, and had a funny hat on &a long beard. They didn't notice this when they were taking pictures. I have a good friend who saw this picture, and said it's clear, and detailed. He told me it appears to be a "Gnome", and is not a human being. Though I haven't looked at the photo mysself, I trust his opinion.

I live 40 minutes away from where this picture was taken. If I am ever able to see the picture myself, I will try to get a copy, and show it here.

Post the Picture! Post the Picture! Post The Picture!!!! Is this the first time that we will actually see a picture of a cryptid that's not blurry and out of focus?

You implied filmmaking technology was not advanced sixty years ago. Well then you haven seen the works of Leni Riefenstahl. Yes, she was Hitler's darling propaganda film maker. But aside from that, she was technically and stylistically quite possibly the best film director of all times.

Yeah I have to agree with you. Somebody should make a thread with links to some of her films so that people can check them out and see for themselves.

this doesn't look fake

but it doesn't look that real

all i know is that this picture is quite trippy
what is that thing attacking that other blurry thing in the foreground?

I agree with b1ue soldier, that is definetly something other than contrasting underbrush/bushes.

When I see that I don't think leprechaun, I think gnome. Gnomes stereotypically have pointy hats, usually.

Also why would a Leprechaun appear on a Native American land? I mean, maybe in Ireland, but not here.

Anyway it is an interesting photo, and the smoke TheB1ueSoldier pointed out makes it even more interesting. Although of course it is possible to doctor old photos, although if it was doctored it would be a bit more obvious, I would think.

Anyway good find overall.

Wow, that would be really cool if you could arrange that
, but how do you know where this was taken? Or is that noted somewhere on the site, cause then I've probably overlooked it.

Its about time the world wakes up and realizes the threat to mankind by the little ones I call
"the tiny enchanted shrubmen."

How many more women being attacked by a Yeti in a clearing will by gawked at by these tiny enchanted shrubmen before a little-manhunt is formed to rid the smokey prairies and shrub lined clearings of these well dressed miniature voyeurs? To arms!

The picture:
www.coasttocoastam.com...
is about 60 years old. I don't think they had the technology back then to fake a picture.

Oh, they did. You haven't seen many old movies, but they had the technology to easily fake it (see the famous "Cottingly fairies" case). The photo could, in fact, be a creation that was done in the last 4 years with photoshop.

So either it was a doll or it really was a little being from another dimension.

Or a badly photographed tree stump.

You really can't see any detail on it. Bad, blurry pictures aren't proof of anything. I could say it was proof of an old murder, or proof that humanlike aliens are abducting Earth women or that it's a primitive spycam set up to watch them.

There's no testimony, there's no source, there's just a picture where someone says "OOOO! ALIEN/ELF/LEPRECHAUN PROOF!!!!"

A proof would be an old picture that was taken with good resolutiona and good detail and some authentication of where it came from.

BTW, I have a lot of old pictures in my family album, and the ones from that era are BLACK AND WHITE AND GREY. Sepia toned pictures are usually from the 1800's. The (wrong) coloring of the picture suggests that it's a modern fake.

Just out of curiosity, am I the only person who saw that and thought 'Midget in a hat' ?

Whatever it is the clothing is black and the white thing in the front is clearly his white beard. Very interesting, it's obviously either a gnome or the real thing.

I agree with soccer mom - it's so blurry, that it could be just about anything, such as a tree stump with an article of cloathing draped over it.

I'd love to believe that it was rock solid evidence of little people, but in a case such as this, I have to err on the side of caution. The picture is too blurry, and too sourceless for me to take it as anything other than it is: an old-looking picture, with an unidentifiable blur in the lower right hand corner.

To me, it does indeed look like a small person in a tophat, but keep in mind that the human brain will look for familiar shapes when presented with a complex, or not immediately identifiable pattern, hence why some are arguing whether or not there's smoke. Plus, the very forum in which we're viewing the photograph leads the audience to want to see something that may or may not be there.

My verdict: Interesting, but inconclusive.

That's the most plausible explanation I've heard so far. There are real life 'little people'. It's quite possibly just a midget watching a couple kids play while smoking a pipe... or a gnome.

I don't know about that pic...

The smoke and the gnome (or whatever it is) appear to be in the background. To me it doesn't look like the gnome is even looking directly at the 2 people. I think the front of his body would have to be pointed more at the people and be less of a side shot.

Also, smoke doesn't have to necessarily go str8 up. When it doesn't, its called a breeze. And why did he create this "magical smoke?" If he was standing in the origin of the smoke I would think that maybe he magically spawned there in a puff of smoke! Doesn't seem to be the case....

Midgets, yay. Gnomes, well they just scare me.... Actually I shouldn't even be saying yay to the midget. Let's just say there's some bad history there and leave it at that.. lol
