Just the right time to make up god......

Ok... I am not anti church and I do have some beliefs. Although some of them have been corrupted by the church in the fact that we have dozens of beliefs and each belief thinks the other is wrong. But back to what I was thinking. Is it just me or is it weird how the main mass of religion came about at a time when prostitution and crime and murder rulled the land. I mean the whole world was unstable... everyone was at war... Killing was nothing uncommon. It just seems to me that this was good timing. What better way to make everyone stop in their tracks and wonder " if i do this, I am going to go to hell". And of course for anything that is not covered in the bible or even seems against gods will, like your wife dieing... There is always the term... God works in mysterious ways. Or the saying, there is reason things happen the way they do...And then when something really bad happens, and death and destruction occurs, what has happened.. Of course, It is the devils work. Maybe, just maybe we should take responsibility for our own problems and stop blaming "god and devil" for all of our #. I am sorry, i want and want to believe, but I just cannot find myself doing... I mean i use to be in Church very often till my pastor took off and left his wife, stole all the churches money and ran off with a 13 yr old... So tell me, with god being able to do all he has, why did he create dinosaurs... Was he praticing? And why do we have outter space if we were never meant to go there... I am sorry, this world would be hundreds of years ahead in technology if it was not for religion holding it back because "it is not in gods will" or Against god.

Hi Draennn, I don't think it's God who's wrong, it's Humanity. People always want to have their say in whats 'in' and what's 'not'. I personally feel God loves us all, i mean after all, he did create us. He wouldn't have created us if he intended on destroying us after claiming his love for us right? God is a part of us all and for him to deny even a part of us would would be 'anti God'. For anyone thinking right now that God could'nt possibly save the atheists and whomever else, think about this for a moment.... God created Good and Evil,and why? Because God is both as are we.

The earth has only been around for 12,000 years or so and is constanly changing at a fast rate. Things change...and they change fast. Everything that we know...and can explain through scientific study as of today...could have been different thousands of years ago. We base today's scientific knowledge on formulas and research according to TODAY'S base research...meaning measurements and study of this and that thing would have been different back then. Science will always turn back to ancient writings and history..and go to find out...that the answers were already there in those earlier records. Technology was in use by people thousands of years ago....just "utilized" in different ways. Humans are here because they were put here by God. The earth is too perfect... thus life could not survive anywhere else. Conditions were planned by God for all living creatures to exist upon terra-firma...in accord....so all things could keep on living on this big rock in outerspace. The sun, the moon, the earth....every condition that we exist in...had to be planned. No "mysterious" random explosion occured...this universe was CREATED by a higher power...you could almost undoubtedly say there is another dimension. For we exist in this one...and we are alone in it...consider it as gift from God. I can't stop reiterating this enough...it's plain and simple...and it saddens me that people walk around in this world...without God. Without God..is to be without love for what you have been given.

I agree.... the bazillions of plantets and stars in this universe and you think this one is the only one with Life... Blaaa.... All I can say. Not being a A$$ here, but when the day comes and life is proven to exsist on other planets, even intelligent life, everyone will see that the holy words are just not sticking.... Since we are suppose to be the only living things in this universe.

You are correct in saying that the same people who thought the world was flat also believed in the bible, but do you see anything in the bible that refers to the world as flat. No!!!!!!!!!!!! But I have seen quite a few things that say we are the only life in this universe and god made us out of his image.... and that we are his only living beings... being all living things on earth. So tell me again... I understand that god gave us a sun for light, heat and plants for food, what what about the billions and billions of stars which are suns, that we see at night, what purpose do they provide to our life on earth... Absolutely none... Religious people said it is against god for us to fly, but everyday, millions and millions of religious individuals fly all over the world. Wouldn't that mean that they are not following gods word. We have evidence and a very very good amount of proof that there is or at least was water on Mars which is the building block for all living things, and that mars have river beds and valleys that were at one time cut out but flowing rivers and streams... This was Earth 2 millions of years ago. Mars atmosphere was most likely destroyed by either a comet, a huge solar storm which destroyed its atmosphere or a extremely large object with great gravitational pull that basically ripped a hole in its atmosphere letting large amounts of solar energy to reach the ground and has basically dried up because of this. So tell me, if god did not intend us to fly or leave this planet, why have we done all of these and also all but proved how life was started....

What happens to all the other religions? To the describtions of the Ark of the Covenant (50 pages), the descriptions of the aircrafts, the technologies, the buildings, the 100.000ths of pages written, the knowledge of Sirius, the pyramids, the pyramids in China...

What happens to all of that? Can you explain that without religion? Can you explain the Refaim in Israel, why the Egyptians build the pyramids for the Gods, why Stone Hedge was an astronomical observatory for the Gods with rituals... can you explain...?

You say people are wrong... not God... it could be Lucifer? The other religions are very clear... Lucifer lost, and we are created to the equal of God... not of Lucifer. Where stays the idea that Lucifer is a part of us if we are made tot the equal of God?

Do the persons which believed the world was flat and the religions are true dumb... or are the persons who think that the buildings, describtion, technologies and the 3 billion people which still believe are totally wrong themselves wrong?

Then also, why should they make up describtions of machines, build complex buildings which are almost impossible to construct... just to convince the people there the Gods were there? Or is it more likely the Gods were there... and therefore also everybody believed them...

I think the 7 days mean something different... something which we don't really know yet...

We can have this conversation all day long and never get anywhere... First off, what aircraft did anyone ever create before the wright brothers... absolutely none... and if they drew plans of some aircraft, it was most likely a UFO. Also, and the most likely reason we are here is because if you really think about it, I think earth is a testing ground. Gods can be anything and what people 2000 years ago thought was god could have been an alien.. for those who don't believe in them, well that is fine, but lets face it, we are not alone... An alien with technologies hundreds of thousands of years ahead of ours could have "come down from the heavens" and performed all these so called powers that we did and do not have. It is not out of the question that we all might be a race of some superior alien life form in which placed us here to see how we would react and overcome the enviroment. The Dinosaurs could have been taken away from this planet and placed on another which could also explain why they all of a sudden left. Tell me, what is the point of god placing dinosaurs on a planet when they have no concept of a god and no ability to ever understand it. Their brains were smaller than ours. You have to step outside of the box and look in, but it all comes down to you have your beliefs and I have mine. They differ and you want to believe what you do and I tend to point more towards science.. Science can prove more in a day than religion has ever been able to prove, but we have not been able to prove the existance of God because lets face it, there may have not been one. The pyramids may have been built to honor the gods that can down from the ski.... Everyone associates the heavens to be in the clouds, and why not, makes sense.. If a ufo was to go into the ski, it would dissapear as soon as it reached the clouds thus causing many to believe that there is a high being...

please do inform us exactly where in the bible it states that the earth is the only creation/we are the only life in the universe. cant do it? yea, thought so... considering it doesnt.

Carbon dating says rocks on this planet are millions of years old. We know according to science that the universe is billions of years old. Why did the Bible forget to mention the dinosaurs? Or didnt they exist? Have you been to a museum lately? And oh yeah, dinosaurs are also significantly older than 12,000 years. Maybe the Bible needs to check for a decimal point placement error.

I defy you to disprove the bible? Do you mean you want me to disprove the bible? I mean. Im sure I could disprove hundreds of statements, find hundreds of contradictions. But you wouldnt listen anyway. Why dont we cut to the chase. The bible is a guide in morality. That is all you can take it for. If you take it for anything else you are refusing to accept the truth.

HA disreguard that. we cant carbon date rocks, carbon dating works by analyzing carbon 14 and its level of decay, considering it decays at a pretty general level, BUT outside factors CAN AND DO change the readings we get from carbon dating.
