Wow ! where has the time gone? It's three years to the day that I first registered as a member of ATS.
Three years ago, I was a member of another forum which was created for a clan of virtual fighters called Kaizen. It was my first experience at being
involved in a forum. We were a group of people who had got involved with the BBCs ill fated
fightbox
program. We had all downloaded the free fightbox software and created our warriors to practice battling against the sentinals that we were faced with,
and get good times on the assault courses in the battle arena in the hope that we would make it onto the TV program. Unfortunatly, I had huge problems
with with getting my program to run properly, and never got the brilliant scores and the 15 minutes of fame that I was hoping for. I did get some
tickets to go and see the show up in London, but it wasn't ment to be as when I turned up at the BBC studio , the show had had technical problems and
had to be cancelled. Gutted!
One good thing that came from my joining the clan was that in our chit chat type forum, I came across someone who was a student of philosophy , and we
decided to start a thread to ponder life the universe and everything, and after a google search for other similar discussions , I came across ATS. I
was hooked straight away! I had to post about this great site I'd found! The response from my Kaizen friend was a little disappointing, he said that
the site was full of nutters discussing mad topics such as human cow hybrids and things like that.
this is the very thread he was refering to back then! (and no I don't think you're a nutter WOS! )

I had to disagree, I found ATS to be full of so many interesting topics and people, and after lurking for a few days, I registered as a member and
have loved it here ever since.
It's been great to see the site evolve into what we see now, and has been a great honour to have been able to play some part in helping out around
the place.
But most of all, it's been an honour to have been able to interact with all of you wonderful people who all make this such an interesting,
educational, colourful, sometimes dramatic, friendly, supportive, newsbreaking, addictive, funny, never ever dull, and simply the best place to be on
the internet!
I don't always post as much as I used to, but I'm always reading, and probably know a lot of you much better than you know me. Things have been a
little tough for me off line this year, but ATS and all of it's sister forums, are always just the tonic I need to help things feel a little
better.
Thanks for being here, I hope to stick around and keep on enjoying the site and following everyones thoughts, ideas and comments for many more years
to come!
