Well, here's an interesting proposal. Any American company engaged in any activity that involves outer space won't have to pay a dime in taxes.

That would be a great idea, but only if the money saved in not paying taxes was then given over to research and development and not frittered away in paying CEO's larger pay packets and siphoning off to shareholders. Which is, unfortunately, where most of it will likely go. In which case it would be a pointless exercise and a waste of money which could be better spent elsewhere after being taken out as taxes, in the first place.
