i think he is talking about science and tech forum .

i know another way to get points from mods. tell them how sexy they are, cut their grass for them, walk their dog. what works the best is send them a money order for 100 dollars. its where all my points have come from.

oh yeah sauron did i mention how nice and awesome you are. your the bestest.

ha ha elitegamer23, nice try, but I don't have a dog or grass and my car gets washed regularly.
As Tone has said all FSME can give 1500 pts in there respective forums, to find out the forums that a member is an FSME in just click the FMSE logo under there Avatars

And the last but best applause of all.... isnt even technically an applause..

This can only be done by one of the Three Amigos(Springer, SkepticOverlord, Simon Gray) It is a massive point boost.... And, to me, is one of the highest honors you can recieve. It is their way of really saying thank you.. for your contribution(s). It is not everyday they do this one though.

It may or may not be accompanied by a u2u or standard applause... You may just log on one day and realize .....um was there a mistake? I have a 100,000 more points than yesterday. But it is no mistake when it happens.

Is there a way to find out who gave you the applause so that you can thank them via U2U or click them as a "friend"? Just thank them, not bribe them for more.

I am kind of curious as to the effect applauses have on the bar?

My bar is of no exceptional color, where as others are dark, or very bright, yet I must say I am probably one of the top 20 applauded members on ATS with 101.

So what effect does the applause REALLY have on the bar?

this thread seems like bad luck. First, the OP looks like he was banned, and then the person to revive the thread after 2 years has a warning. yikes!

I feel like I'm living on the edge just replying to this thread.

I believe the bar gets brighter in direct relation to how long it is. e.g. shorter bars are darker, longer bars are lighter. Just an observation, and an assumption.
