i got an applause.What does it mean?

I feel rewarded but its too low.imo should be 1000pts.Btw how many users get applauded and is their a FaQ about users getting applauded? cuz if not you plz make one

An Applause is alittle pat on the back from a Staff Member for an exceptional post. It comes with a point reward and a notch on the belt.

You will notice the Post bar beneath your points, well you can click on this link to learn some information on it and how Applauses affect it.

Post Bar Information

Every 10 Applauses brings you to the next level, after 110 it falls off and turns black.

Cool, it means:

"You can't read your nic with that dark blue background."

sarcasm withstanding...

psyopwatcher has a point... It is darn near impossible to read your avatar... maybe change your text color to something light.. or change your backround color to something light. Either way as loing as there is a contrast it should be legible.

I cant help it if i have a mind of my own and post good stuff the rest sometimes do not appreciate I should be applauded for being consistent.

If points were given that easy the general respect of the forum would drop highly. Because points are given for exceptional posts and dedication the user may be rewarded with an applause (which don't come too easily).

When I first started posting on ATS I was similar, craving points to get me started and into RATS (Really Above Top Secret). From my short experience here I found that points weren't too easy to come by and so a reward really shows you have made ATS a positive place and your opinion or writing style is worthy of reward. It always puts a smile on my face when I recieve them, if it was as easy as asking well it wouldn't mean anything.

Best thing is to read around, have fun and hopefully someone will notice your input and reward you. Nothing more, nothing less.

figures... my worst subjects(science and energy issues)...lol...next to UFO's that is...

but hes right all the FSME's can dish out 1500 points for appplauses in their respective forums.
