Another thread supposing and accusing Masonry for involvement in 9/11? And a link between all these specific "secret societies" to begin with?

Is all this hysteria a result of the fact that we're so very close to the 5-year anniversary?

How about some thoughtfully constructed arguments to support your claims?

[sigh]

Yet another unprovoked and unsubstantiated attack. But God forbid anyone point that out, lest the Masons be burned at the stake for "bullying" what is quite obviously a troll. Because, this, folks, is "trolling" at it's best (well admittedly there have been better, but it's a pretty good first dig)

It's also a fine display of a complete lack of knowledge and of the human tendency to follow like sheep whatever someone else with an agenda says.

Jump on the band-wagon coolheretic, you won't be alone, that's for sure.

I can hardly await your next post...phonetic spelling and all.

The slightest bit of actual research would clear up the fact that the Illuminati doesn't exist (except in the minds of some conspiracy theorists). Masons are a fraternity (a brotherhood). Period.

look what they are doing, for thier consumption of power they are killing the masses as they are nothing but sheeps.

Where? When? Who? When have Masons killed people? Back this nonsense up or don't post it. Shriners (who are Masons) have Shriners Hospitals which have the finest burn centers in the world. They SAVE people. They don't kill them.

Their main obj of masosn is to build the solomans temple over the dome of rock

The main objective of Masons is brotherhood. Period. The teachings of Masonry are based upon the building of King Solomon's (note the spelling) Temple. We have no desire to re-build the actual Temple. You've been reading too many books like The DaVinci Code, Holy Blood-Holy Grail and similar nonsensical fiction.

so they are hoping for WW3.

Horse hockey. I'm a Mason and I certainly don't hope for WWIII. Why would you even suggest that. I'd LOVE world peace. I am realistic (and perhaps cynical) enough to believe that it will never happen, but I sure don't like war.

i hate secret socities,

That's your choice bub, but it's interesting that you choose to hate something you obviously have no real knowledge of. (Trust me, you're not alone in this category)

if they are peaceful then why be secret?

It always boils down to that. You think because something is secret, it must be evil. Wake up and smell the proverbial coffee. Some things simply aren't your business just because you will them to be.

If you're really curious about Masonic secrets there's a quick fix.

Join the Masons. You might find out we're a pretty good bunch of guys.

Okay the Skull and the Bones is a fraternity. There are many secret societies. They help each other succeed in life. It isn't so they can rule the world and put the world in a WW3.

Why do you hate secret societies? Is it because you hate the idea of secrets in the first place? For that matter, what is your idea of "secret" or "secrets?" Is a secret something you simply don't know, or something you can't know? If the latter, why do you think you can't know it; because others conspire to keep the answers to secrets from you?

If it's something you simply don't know, why not educate yourself? You know, take some initiative, crack open a book.

Aw c'mon Damocles357, you KNOW that's not going to happen! It's so much easier to post silly nonsense, half-baked information and wild speculation than to actually find out the truth. These people seem to thrive on such things.

Wouldn't you love to read a term-paper written by one of these guys?

Hate to break it to you, bud... but we ARE the voice of the people. At least, part of it.

I'm a computer programmer. The guy that sits next to me in lodge is a shoe salesman. One of my buddies is a line cook at a restaurant. We're everyday guys... except that we choose to come together twice a month, in a non-air conditioned room, and decide what else we can do to help the community around us.

We have EXACTLY the same rights you do, as fellow citizens.

And there are millions of us. There aren't that many of you.

Well, you know, per capitas sure do take a bite! Lucky for us, we do have AC, and when it gets too doggone hot, we can take off our jackets!

Appak, I'm not sure a term paper could be put together by some people without it sounding like something out of "Teen People."

There are numerous Masonic foundations and charities supported by Masons, but Masons fall into the same category as other fraternal groups (Elks, Eagles, Moose, Knights of Pythias, etc.)

Hypothetically speaking, let us say you disbanded groups like Freemasons, skull and Bones, etc. and exposed their secrets to the entire world. Those groups would just move underground, which their secret nature would dictate, and reconstitute themselves as the old group or as a new group with a new identitity. The formation of a "secret clubhouse" is a fundamental aspect of human nature. In a way, everyone has been a part of a "secret clubhouse" at one time or another. We may have gone to a bachelor party and kept our mouths shut as to what happened, we may join a society like the masons, belong to an organisation that is not secretive but exclusive in nature like a country club, or just have an informal and unspoken code of confidence amongst a close group of friends. Granted, groups like freemasons take this human behavior and take it to an extreme, but perhaps we are all guilty of taking some aspect of human nature and exagerating it.

I agree OP didnt have to say what he did, he makes your thoughts that much easier to pull him apart, and expose him for what he is, or what he is saying.. And he doesnt speak for me or 99.8% of us with questions of these groups...
But.. The mansons, shriners, and all other Org. have done soo much good for people around the world.. that is Fact.. and I give those men and women much respect for what they do.. however they pull in alot of money, and have ties to our world leaders, as they are parts of those groups becasue they uphold such a great thing, love, and helping others... It looks great from the outside...
thats all Im saying, It looks great from the outside, do I have presonal proof of Mansons doing wrong? NO, I have proof of them doing everything right and good for people.. But that inlines the problem for people like me... You cant Bull# a bull#er, I know if I want something from someone Im going to come off as the nicest guy ever, and befriend you and help you while the whole time I have other plans that you dont know about, nor do those that help me know, only the ones that are in on it know, and more than likely it was their plan to begin with, they just know Im an upstanding man, never been to jail, and a god loving soul with a family and they just know that Im a good guy and help others, while all the time its really not like that, its called coruption, and the kind that is going on today is the hardest to see.. And for those that dont belive us. its okay, Im glad you stand for what you think is right, because we all stand by our morals and world standards right?

This argument basically concludes that there are no real good people in the world wishing to help others, but only corrupt, conniving individuals who happen to be great actors and facilitators putting on an excellent facade to dupe the masses. Sorry, just seems a bit too pessimistic. Yes, it is agreed that most men seem to be inherantly selfish and criminal when given ample opportunity, but it is for this reason that we need organizations like the Freemasons, where the rare and wonderfully necessary kind hearts of the world can come together and make up for the rest of us that might only be pretending, as you said. Where one man gives a dollar to another who is starving, several thousand men can come together and raise a million for the hungry masses across the world.
I am not a Mason, but I salute their cause and respect those that answer that call to a greater power, just as I respect those in the clergy that devote themselves to a higher calling. It is commendable, and admirable. Sadly, instead of praise these crusaders are usually offered only scorn, outrage, and all too often completely unjustified accusation of fault. I say leave them be, the world would be better off.

A masonic rings gets a handshake from me every time, even if I don't know the "secret" one.

Alright - in the face of a threat to be exterminated because of membership in a Secret Society, I have to come clean.

I'm in three, all of which I started and hold high rank in.

1.) The Diocese of Exhaulted Butt Cheese : it involves a limerick, a slice of velvetta slapped on the forehead, and an incantation. That's it. Nothing special, and even though our members are scattered across the US, we refuse to be held accountable for their personal decisions and actions outside of the group setting. We are not political, and we mock religious practices openly and with a heavy dose of clean humor.

2.) The Cult of the Rubber Chicken : we give our members small rubber chicken keychains so they can waggle thier little peckers at the world as they see fit when people start taking things too seriously.

3.) Codebreaker Beautiful : We celebrate the Engima of Life and the Mystery of Everything. Each member is entitled to his or own perception of the world, and we are bound by the laws of Tolerance and Responsibility for our Own Actions. We have our own logo, cards, stickers and (eventually will have) our own t-shirts.
We also smoke loads of cigarettes and drink way too much coffee during meetings.

I came clean, we're no longer secret.
Don't hurt me or my buddies.

*slaps cheese on forehead, waggles rubber chicken and drops a card off*

I wholeheartedly agree... they must be just putting on a front, because there are no really good people out there? Therefore, they are lying? Therefore, they are corrupt?

Wow, that's a pretty sad outlook on the world...

Where one man gives a dollar to another who is starving, several thousand men can come together and raise a million for the hungry masses across the world.

Or even more importantly, a man will spend half his day working as an unpaid volunteer at the local soup kitchen.

I fail to see how that could possibly be a 'front'. If that was the purpose, aren't there much more efficient ways of doing so?
