Interesting site. Look forward to browsing and contributing. I'm sort of a skeptic and I will normally do a certain amount of research before I believe anything except the simplest explanation. I'm open-minded but require evidence and logic.

As soon as I can, I will find the appropriate subforum here and tell you about my two UFO sitings while serving in the USAF in Osan, Korea back in the late 70s. I was a U-2 spyplane recon electronic technician at the time. Later in life I left the service and became a software engineer in Silicon Valley and recently retired to FL, my home state.

I love SciFi, I'm single with no children, and I am a mid-aged woman.

BTW, my screen name "Lomillialor" comes from an artifact in the Steven Donaldson series of sci-fantasy books, The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant (my all-time favorite books). The Lomillialor is a small stick or staff used to test the truthfullness or purity of a person. I suppose if they were real you could therefore test the truthfullness of a given conspiracy theory.

Welcome Lomillialor!

There are lots of handy tips available in the Handbook of ATS Links

Here are some valuable threads from the Board Business and Questions Forum:

Smokin' BBQ Threads (Important Website-Related Topics)

Configuring your MyATS page is the easiest way to put the ATS universe at your fingertips.

Be sure to check out Social Issues on PTS. I'm sure you will find the atmosphere to be friendly, enlightening, and rewarding.

Here's an excellent little, unobtrusive spell checker, in case you need one: IESpell 2.1.1 build 325

A convenient text editor also comes in handy when composing those epic posts: EditPad Lite.

Oh, and vote for the Automotive Forum.

Welcome Lom- I'm a noob too. Good to see another middle aged woman who loves Sci Fi and Fantasy. As you can see by my user name, I also love it. Who else in their right mind would admit to being a closet Trekkie, huh? LOL!

I'm reading the latest Terry Brooks book titled Morgawr right now. I love his books.

Love Star Trek (all of them). Actually, I love anything SciFi. I wonder why more woman don't get into SciFi, though the Xena show proved there was a lot of us out there?

I used to read Terry Brooks. Want to start again actually, but I am not sure which book to start off with. There are so many series now, that it's hard to figure out which books are the first ones in the series.

Welcome aboard and while it's tempting to compare ATS with that of AOL, they are actually quite different however similarly sophisticated the interfaces.
