Mouseover to preview posts?

Hi, just a suggestion, on most other sites, putting the cursor over a topic displays the first line or two of a post in the alt text. Any possibility of turning this feature on?

Such a feature isn't included in our board software (which is almost completely hand written and coded by one of our admins, SkepticOverlord).

I honestly don't think such a feature would be viably implemented at the moment, but if such a feature does get created, we'll obviously announce it here.

Most of those other sites are nothing like ATS.

We regularly have over 1,500 members visiting every day, which is typical of a very large discussion board.

However, we also have over 40,000 non-member guests visiting every day, which is not typical of a discussion board. While our member traffic ranks us as 416th largest discussion board by Big-Boards.com, our overall traffic puts us in the top-20.

Adding this type of feature would add significant text to each page, thus increasing the size of our main pages, and slowing down the site for everyone. So in our case, it's simply not viable.
