What if we put all names of men and women,within the ages of 18-32,and draw a lottory of people that go into the military,and of those that are not chosen for military duty could be put into a lottory for other non military services (i.e health care,county clerk,police enforcement ect,).However if yuo are chosen you get full education,then after the education you go to wor,for at least 2 years.

Doing something like this would be disasterous. Nothing like sending a bunch of apathetic citizens into a warzone with high powered rifles.

This would cause further scenarios like that which we are experiencing today. Soldiers raping and murdering families, purely out of spite, as well as the killing of innocent civilians due to personal frustration.

With all of the newly found information about the lack of care provided by the military for veterans, this only compounds the negativity felt by everyone towards and branch of armed forces.

Not to mention that even without the apathectic citizens, the rest of the drafted populus would be even more against the idea, as no one wants to go and fight a war that they dont believe in, and that they were duped into by a government that was spewing lie after lie to get justification.

There is no view of military service being a priviledge to U.S. citizens, let alone a duty.

I can't condone anyone being forced against their will to become cannon fodder for Halliburton in Iraq.

Let me just add one thing:

IT IS NOT A PRIVELEDGE TO DIE FOR YOUR COUNTRY! WE SHALL NOT BECOME MARTYRS!

And it's not like we really need a draft anyway.

Should a draft take place, and your number turns up:
Will you join them or fight them? Will you show up at the recruiter office or run for the hills? Only YOU can make the choice to take up a weapon and fight, and only YOU can choose to follow their orders.
